Default resting heart rate

Hi

I am wondering if any has the information i am trying to find. I was told by my doctor that resting heart rate is a big indicator of aerobic fitness.
When i was bigger my heart rate was... high (i think in the 110-120 range per minute)
today i measured (not at complete rest, it is supposedly best to measure before getting out of bed in the morning) today i got 55 ???

Does anyone know any online sites, with a graph ? so i can really see what the diff is ?

That may help. I'm not sure though, because you said it used to be 110-120 before, that's not even on the chart. How long was your count for?

Thankyou! I spent an hour searching and didn't come up with much more than what percentages to add to resting heart rate for burning fat, or working hard!

I was a real mess! and yes my heartrate was High! I couldn't walk 1/2 block (50 metres) without stopping, even that and i felt like i had run a marathon!
Thats why i was so amazed yesterday when i realised my heart rate was slower than the clock! i was counting the seconds, and that my heart rate was still less than that
I still haven't taken my resting heart rate before i get out of bed (i forgot).

Aparantly some of it is genetic, as well as fitness level.
thanks again
