Talking Thursday Chat

good morning everyone Well after a few days off for Christmas it's back to work for me. I don't mind it though, and today is vet rounds day (my favorite day , even though today is my "Monday") . I was kind of itching to get back anyway, I feel out of it when I'm away for too long. Tonight I'm going to clean out my kitchen and restock with only OP foods, and start on a menu to try to get the ball rolling. I recently ordered the new cook book, does anyone else have it yet? Is it any good? Well chicas hope everyone has a good (and OP) day

Default Thursday's Chick Chat Copy

Good Morning, Chickies!

I got up early to make sure Jake took all the leftover cookies to work with him. So he goes out to warm up the car while I'm in the bathroom, and leaves without them! DD said she and the girls may come over today, so maybe I can foist them off on them. If they do come, I'll bring Audrey & Maggie over here, and we'll have a full house. Amber is going to the Ice Capades with her "other" grandparents today, so she won't be able to come.

Soon ~ Nice ring!

K8-EEE ~ I lost my diamond from my ring, too! I was talking with some friends one day, and I gestured with my hands, and noticed the stone was missing. I've been wearing just the band ever since.

2BFIT1 ~ back! I've been wondering where you've been!

Good morning and thanks for cranking us up, Zoo Mama/Krista. It's nice to see new chicks hop right onto the daily chat dune buggy! The new SBD cookbook is darn good. Barb has tried many of the recipes and gives them high ratings. I have it but have not really cooked much from it because of the holidays.

Well, my doggage woofed off and on most of the night. We had freezing rain and the noisy road crews were out. Of course the Girls had to guard me. The road in front of the house is shiny but sanded but my lane will be glare ice. I think I'll be doing the Big Domestic this morning at least. My list of "niggles" is growing!

Today is the fourth day of Christmas and I hope the UPS guy can get here with my five golden rings. He can take back those four calling birds as they are driving me nuts running around hollering at each other!

Time for without Bailey's. What's happening on your strand?

Schatzi, !!! I found out, too, what happens when you don't type in the FULL name! I had been shopping for Carhartt's for the men in the family, and it was late and I was tired -- What an eye opener!

I just bid farewell to a friend who is on her way to Florida for the winter. She won't be back til April!

Good morning ladies!

I'm keeping DS home from daycare today. He is feeling better, but not 100%.

I need to get to the store to get on program foods. I'm falling into temptation and even boredom eating. I know I wouldn't feel the need if I were eating my snacks. I will work on a grocery list today while I am home.

I had a good nights sleep last night. I finally have DS back in his bed. Now, if I could keep the cat from sleeping b/n my legs so I can't roll over. Why do I not want to bother a comfortable sleeping animal that gets to sleep all day?

I will drop in later. Hello to everyone!

Good morning Chicas! Yesterday was a pretty good day... DS FINALLY got his driver's license! I'm not sure whether to be happy or terrified. His "test" pretty much consisted of a five minute drive around the block. What happened to "back in the day" tests where you had to back up in a straight line and parallel park?

I'm still feeling pretty puny with my sinuses.... kinda sucks to feel sick when you take a few days off work!!! I've taken on some transcription work today that I am putting off at the moment.... gotta try to recoup some of those lost Christmas dollars!!!

Schatzi...you're cracking me up with the website!!! My DD has some websites bookmarked that we let her go to -- her favorites. Every now and then she asks to go to a new one...but man... ALL the names she gives us have the potential to be something inappropriate, so we have to check them all first. She's asked for Barbie.com, Hellokitty.com, Amandaplease.com... all of which, thanks to DH, I have found out could be bad!! :O

Well...I better get to work. I've got my big cup of tea, and in a little bit, I'll probably make a boca burger for breakfast.

Soon -- Your ring is fabulous!! I'm embarrassed to say I have a beautiful wedding ring that I can't get on my fat little finger at the moment!! I'm going to change that soon however!!!

Have a great day everyone!!!

Good morning
Zoo Mama~~Thanks for starting us up today and have fun with the animals.

Cottage~~ Thanks for the welcome back and the hug. I missed you guys. I'll be getting rid of my goodies this week, too. This week I made a batch of Oreo Truffles and Biscottis that will go to work for the New Year. The last of my baking will be a Kahlua Cheesecake, most of which will also go to work. Then it is back to healthy cooking!!

Ruth~~It doesn't look like your knee surgery has slowed you down at all. Be careful on that ice, girl.

Schatzi~~ Dicks.com You still have your wonderful sense of humor~I love it. You always make me laugh.

Beach Bum and CJ~~Hope you get better soon

djette~~ Don't give in to boredom or temptation!! Eat your snacks! You can do it!!

Default Yawn

Morning girlies. I'm at work but about to curl up under my desk like a bad weezle and take a nap. It's dark and dreary here, and it's not helping me wake up any.

Zoo mama- Welcome back.

Cottage- Resist the temptation of the cookies! I know it's hard. We have all kinds of food here at the school that people bring in. You can do it!

Ruthie- Don't your doggies know when it's time to sleep and when it's time to woof? My parents' weiner dogs don't know either. They never go on an all-out barking spree unless the front door opens, but occasionally Oscar will give a low woof from under the covers and then Sophie has to go off. They get to sleep during the day so they have no concept of their woofing!

Schatzo- WHOOPS. Be careful with those websites. You never know what you're going to find. Next time, I'd just google it.

Djett- I have a hard time with boredom eating, too, but not because I'm skipping snacks. I'll eat my snacks, but I'll still eat if I'm bored. That's something I'm trying to kick. Don't worry. Once you get your groceries, you'll be just fine.

Cjane- Congrats on DS getting his license. Now you can send him to run all your errands. (I know that's what happened to me when I got mine.) Sorry that your sinuses are bothering you. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Beach bum- Hope you get to feeling better!

As for me, volleyball.... ow. I am starting to think that I'm getting "too old" for this working out stuff. I'm pretty banged up and sore today. I had a really cool fall last night, though. Molly said it was the coolest fall she's ever seen. I went over backwards shoulderblades-first, and once they banged into the ground, my legs then flew up into the air and back down. I didn't know I was that flexible, in fact I was slightly concerned about my femur snapping when I was on my way over backwards. No injury though, no pain there.

I wish I could perk up today. I've had my green tea and everything and I'm still wiped. Hope you all have a fabulous day and I'll pop on later!

Lisa

Mornin' chicks!

It's a beautiful sunny day today, inspiring for crawling back onto my towel. After that evil I ate two days ago, I'm back on program and ready to go! Today my husband and I are going to do some packing up of the apartment since we're moving (just across town) in a couple of weeks. Fun stuff!

Zoomama ~ I hope you have fun with the animals, and best of luck as you join us on the beach!

Cottage ~ Good luck with getting those cookies out of your house! Have a great day!

Ruth ~ at the five golden rings! I'll have to call UPS and ask if my shipment is on the way!

Schatzi ~ Ma'am YES MA'AM! You'll be happy to know that I'm back on program after Tuesday! Thanks for the PSA on the Dicks sporting goods website. I wouldn't want to make that mistake, especially at the lab!

Djett ~ I hope your DS feels better soon!

Cjane ~ Congrats to your DS! I remember doing parallel parking for my driver's test. It's the only thing I failed, but luckily I got it on my 2nd attempt.

Beachbum ~ Feel better soon!

Leenie and 2BFIT1 ~ Hi!

Weezle ~ Looks like we posted at the same time. I'm glad to hear that you survived that fall!
