Angry She did it again!

Once again Lucy the Devil Dog ate my glasses! I was away for four hours this morning having gum surgery. When I came home, all was well. I left my glasses on the kitchen table while I checked email and she ate a lens once again! The vet said to stuff her with bread and wait and see. This is getting very silly and nerve wracking, not to mention expensive! Grrr!

I'm worried and also very pissed off!

Default Ha ha

This makes me smile because I now know that I am not the only one with devil dogs. My little Roxie got ahold of my pincushion last night and carefully pulled out all 300 or so pins and played with the cushion. How old are your darlings.

Default Poor Ruthie!

((hugs)) I'm sure she'll be fine. Are you sure she ate the lens and not secretly hoarding it somewhere?

Sounds like everything is going to have to be put up above shoulder level from now on.

((hugs)) (and thanks from all of us for journaling the other day!)

Good to know I am not the only one with a brat dog. I live in constant fear Chester is going to eat something that will kill him. He's constantly finding bobby pins and ponytail holders that drop off my counter and bedside table. Not to mention rooting through the trash cans and taking a bite out of everything on his level! And the other day he stinking jumped onto our computer chair and could easily reach anything on the desk!!!

My chihuahua keeps eating the lower branches of my Christmas tree and spreading pine needles EVERYWHERE! He also "unwrapped" most of the presents under the tree. I had to rewrap them and move them to the closet. Don'tcha just LOVE dogs!?!??!?

Ruth, it sounds like Miss Lucy is acting out, much like a child does when something has happened in their life to upset them. Maybe a visit to a doggie shrink???

Our Roxy will eat inedibles, too. Pinecones, gardenhoses, wool, ficus trees, the attachments that go on garden hoses, garbage cans, Q-Tips, shoes, cell phone chargers, electrical cords...you name it and Rox--In-The-Head has probably eaten it or at least attempted to.

She's gotten better now that I've taken over her care. DD just wasn't paying enough attention to her. Now, she gets lots of love, time on the bed with me and dh and her own chair to sleep in at night. She's not nearly as bad as she was...but I still don't leave her near anything I value.

Oh, yeah, a couple weeks ago, she found a bag of apples...tasted every single one of them...

Mama, Lucy could be acting out because she's worried about Ruth and her knee, but I know that pup is more loved on than almost any other pup in the world, but Hershey! Those two have a very good life with their mom...if we come back in another life, I want to be Ruth's dog!

Ruth, I'm so sorry! How annoying this must be! Any chance you can get a hard case for the glasses that is not dog-destructible? Made of Titanium, perhaps? I know I'd forget to put them up high, but I might remember to put them in a case...

for you and for Lucy!

Sorry about your glasses Ruth. I have five dogs and only one of them is not a devil dog when it comes to chewing things up. I think she is saving hers for something REALLY BIG
