With colder weather setting in, I think my thoughts are magically turning to warmer climes, vacations, etc. AND....I've been trying to think of a location for a trip to celebrate when I make goal. Probably my fantasy is outside the financial possibilities for a goal reward, but heck, maybe I can win the lottery too next year too
My FANTASY trip is Australia. At LEAST 3 weeks, but more like 4 because it'll be a once-in-a-lifetime trip. I'm even starting to look at travel books for it! There are so many unique things about Australia (oh dang, and how do I fit New Zealand in there too?).
Crystal Cruise Lines does a 106-day around the world cruise. I think that would be so incredibly cool to be able to do! You leave from Los Angeles, then hit mexico, south america, the south pacific, new zealand, australia, south africa, egypt, italy, spain, france, and england, just to name SOME of the places! Unfortunately, fares START at over $42,000. And I don't think my job is going to give me 4 months of vacation.
It's always been my dream to travel, I want to go every where! Take one of those tours in Europe where you stay a few nights in Ireland and England and France and Spain. Places that have such great history. Most recently I've been really interested in going to Israel and taking a tour of the holy lands, swim in the red sea, ride a camel, stuff like that.
Cyprus - just a beach holiday really! I want one that I can wear a bikini on and just LAZE around! At the moment DF and I do mainly city breaks and wear ourselves out! I just want to relax!
It's not really a fantasy because one day I will go, just not sure when-hoping for my 15th wedding anniversary. But you are talking about it being cold and such and my vacation fantasy is an Alaskan cruise! LOL Not really getting away from the cold but it's something I have always wanted to do. Also, I too have always wanted to visit Austraila. That is about the only place I would want to go overseas. But with my fear of flying long distances that one truly is a fantasy.
OMG FishWoman! I've never heard of that cruise but how exciting THAT would be! I'd have to find out where the gym is first thing with all that great on-board food!
One of my short term goal rewards to keep me motivated is a trip to LAS VEGAS Sept. 2006. When I reached my target weight my fantasy trip is a summer in London UK I've got a way to go with that one;but, I'm working on it.
I have a goal to see all the continents before I assume room temperature...so far I have seen most of North America, a couple caribbean islands and a lot of Europe. While I have nothing against DH being from Central Mexico - and I kinda like the idea that MIL is 2000 miles away ...the problem is, guess where we go for EVERY vacation? Oh well....I might manage it yet somehow.
I'm only 39..that gives me at least a couple more years...
Carnival in Rio de Janiero....an african safari...hanging out in the Outback of Australia....what does one do in Antartica? Penguins? For Asia..maybe Calcutta? Or Nepal...so many amazing places to go and discover...maybe I should audition for The Amazing Race...
Well I really want to see Iceland! but I am planning next year to see New York that has been a dream for so long... there are so many places I want to see in the US! I love travelling in the winter rather than in the summer as well!
My fantasy trip would be to Germany and Austria for at least a month. I'm putting that off for a bit though. I've promised myself that if I get down to within forty pounds of goal, I'll make arrangements to go to England for a couple of weeks.
One day, probably in the more distant future, I would love to spend time in the UK. I just want to see everything; there's always been something pulling me there since I was very young.
Ive always wanted to travel, see New Zealand, canda and Auz, Hence went to Texas own my own when I was 18.
But my ULTIMATE DREAM is to travel the states! Drive accross! o man, Once I move there Im so doing that!
