Talking Non-Scale Victories, what are yours???

I always see these threads in other forums, so lets see what we calorie counters have to report for NSV's???

I'll go first since I started it...well so far since starting loosing weight on Aug 1, 2005. I have went from a TIGHT 16, to a nice 12. I also have went from a 38inch waist to a 31 inch waist. I have MUCH more energy. I do not have as much back pain.

Ok, who's next???

I am just not as tired when I get home from work! Since high school (over 20 years) I prefer to nap late in the day. Always thought it was just my biorhythm or whatever. Well, when I started eating healthier food and especially afternoon snacks with some fiber or protein -- I'm no longer losing an hour of my day!

Now, you'd think it would be easier to apply that time to exercise...

I actually the other day created a list of these on my blog. Here's mine with only losing 15 pounds so far.

1. I can wear my dh's t-shirts!!!

2. I can wear a bra that used to be 2 sizes too small!!!

3. The jeans I bought right before starting to lose are actually loose on me!!!

4. I can play in the yard with the kids without getting too winded!!

5. I spent 5 hours raking leaves and doing lawn work with only one break! Before I wouldn't have been able to do 5 hours at all.

6. On a couple of occasions this month I have completed walking 4 miles in one single day!

7. Not only can I do a stomach crunch, I can do over 100 at a time!!

8. I am becoming more aware of what I am eating and if it is a healthy choice for me.

9. I am discovering that my changes in lifestyle are actually having a positive affect on my family. (dh is actually paying attention to labels!!)

Those are great!!! I agree with the making healthier choices. And the pants being loose. I am bumming around today in a pair of 14's that I couldnt dream of putting on before, and they are literally falling off me. I do not even have to undo the button/zipper if I need to go to the restroom It is a GREAT feeling.

That's great Gonna Loose! I'd be happy to even fit in a pair of 14s. They can be tight I don't care I just want to be able to say I can wear them. Right now I'm in a 20.

Well, Ambabs, I was a TIGHT (and I mean TIGHT) 16 stretch before, so probably a true 18 (but never bought any 18's to wear, just couldnt do it).

So with the 14's being soooo big on me is a HUGE accomplishment!
