Cool MOMS WEIGHT IN week of 11/28

Ok, ladies let get back to the business of losing weight!!! Last week was understandably slow with Thanksgiving and long weekend. Well let all make an effort to check in on a regular basis and support one another. We have a great group of ladies here who all all working really hard to get back into shape and change our outer selves.

This week was good for me, I lost 2lbs. I think I could have lost more but there were a few bumps in the road on the way. On Monday my husband brought home McDonalds so I thought that was it for me. I normally get the grilled vegetable sandwich, but when my husband ordered it they said they no longer make it which is a little frustrating. Before this sandwich I would buy the veggie burger, but they stopped making that as well. Why is it every healthy product on the menu disappears? So anyways he brought me home a turkey blt, which was fine but instead of my normal side salade he bought me fries!!!!! Who doesn't love McDonald fries???!!!! Well I was really good for the rest of the week and did a lot of mall walking to get my Christmas shopping done; it looks like it paid off. So I will probably not make my November goal of 5lbs, but I was close. I will weigh myself on Wednesday (the last day of November) and see if I can do it. If not, I will start a fresh monthly goal for December and do the best I can.

I anybody nervous about the holidays around the corner? I am really hoping I can control my cravings and stay away from all the chocolate and baked goods that will be going around. It's just a matter of making healthy choices and being very aware of what you are eating.....(easier said than done..LOL)

Good luck ladies and I look forward to hearing from you this week. We can't let the thread fall off to the 2nd page again.lol

Hi!

Good job!!! Two pounds is awesome. Keep it up.

I didn't do so well....sigh!! Thanksgiving did me in. I tried to be good and even skipped dessert but still didn't loose any weight. I probably wont make my November goal because of this either but will be close. I am going to be really good this week to try to make up for it.

Like you mentioned there well be more holiday treats coming so I have to really work hard at this. I was worried about thanksgiving for that very reason and there is only more to come.

I think everyone should enjoy a treat here or there but planning is key for me. If I decide what I am allowed to have I don't go to overboard but if I just cave in to treats one day then I tend to over indulge.

Well I had a lose of .4oz which does add up and is better than a gain so I am happy with that. I hope we can keep this board going it seems like we are losing people!!! I hope you all have a good week!!!!!

Well good for you! Every little bit counts that's for sure.

When I look back at the last couple of years I was constantly gaining and that's how I got here. It took a while. My point, if I have one, is that the same thing works in the reverse and every little bit counts.

Right now, I am trying really hard not to munch. I just got home from my son's 3 year old check up and feel like munching.

The poor little guy has just been through so much and now they want to do more tests which makes me upset and so I keep going to the refrigerator and opening it. Maybe I am hoping it will hug me if I open the door or something. I haven't snacked on anything yet but am having a hard time controlling it. I think I will make some coffee to try to occupy myself.

How is everyone else doing? I too hope we can keep the group going. It is really nice to have a place to check in.

at my last WW meeting our leader had a recipe for peanut butter cookies with a chocolate star in the middle. 1 cookie is 1 pt. I thought maybe this would help your cravings and it doesn't have alot of calories and is simple to make. here is the recipe..
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
* chocolate star on each cookie
mix together drop by spoonfuls on parchment paper or baking sheet. 350 for 10-15 min or until golden brown.

I hope everything goes good with your son.

Thanks for the recipe and the well wishes. We will try it for sure. My kids (and I) love to bake during the holidays and I have been looking for some recipes that are okay to take a taste of here and there.

You aren't all giving up are you ladies? Remember how motivated you were a few weeks ago?

The sooner we all stick to our plans the sooner we will be at our goal! Don't give up!

Talking Hi

Well, I like the topic thread and decided I needed to join this one

I am 170 as of today's scale weigh in. (It may change drastically as certain times of the month cause me to weigh more - sorry if TMI) I do always use the same scale too.

These last couple of weeks have been hard. First Thanksgiving, then two birthdays, my sons being one of them. You know how that goes.

So this week starts anew. Hopefully December will be a good month for me. I have yo-yo'd soooo much.

Good luck everyone for December.
