when we have to start on PI over and over and over. what is it that keeps us from putting our needs first and requiring those around us to listen to our needs??? i am afraid with me i have been using the g-kids, dh, d-children as an excuse to have this or that food around, then when i am busy feeling not worth the effort the foods are there for the picking. somewhwere along the way we (i) need to decide that i am worth eating right, my health is worth it, and i personally am tired of this roller coaster, plus they all like SBD foods. my towel is laundered and ready for a long stay on the beach so away we go. we are either going away for the holiday or eating my way.
I am worth the effort to do this program right and put myself first for a change.
What a great revelation!! I agree. I have been struggling in the same area. I had intended on sticking to Phase one for a few days this week b/c of my carbfest, but I ended up on phase 2. But, I have lost another pound! (I just weighed today!)
What is your game plan for Thanksgiving. I intend to eat illegal foods and take my leftovers to my work for the others to gobble up. I think that I will be alright as long as I don't go portion nuts.
You are fantastic, hon...you keep sticking up for your right to be healthy and happy. You might want to talk with your family about what's been happening (you buying stuff for them and then eating it yourself)...they probably already know, but your bringing it up will give them permission to discuss it with you. When you enlist your family's help, it can get even easier.
