Default NSV for November you'd like to share?

Just wondering if anyone has some NSV they would like to share with us all...maybe it can provide motivation for us all.

I have a little nsv....I was talking to Shennie in another post and it reminded me how my family like to sabotage my efforts a little bit. I just remember that on Thursday I had gone over to sit with my dad (he is housebound) so my mom could go to the store. When she came back she showed me my sister had brought my dad his favorite candy bars those big hershey milk chocolate with almond bars the 8oz ers. Well she bought him ten. My mom said here take on home, I really didn't want to thinking it would trigger something. But here it is Sunday and I haven't even opened the package! Not even tempted by it! Yeah Me!!

Acquaintences of mine lately have used the word "tiny" to describe me, which floors me. I am now able to comfortably wear 2 of my size 4 jeans and am thrilled. Almost three weeks ago it was just one pair and still tight. Bravo to us all! (WAY TO GO ON THE CHOCOLATE- thats my favorite food group!)

I'm not a regular poster, but I do LOVE to read all the post....

Anyway, I was a bit discouraged with only a 2 lbs loss for an entire MONTH. I went in on Saturday and asked her to take my measurements - I was down 8 inches in one month!!!! So my exercise was paying off - YAY!

Hey Good for you slimmerkim that is awesome. It's always really discouraging when your weight doesn't drop every week. Good to here about the inches though. I would rather loose inches than pounds anyday.

WTG -Slimmerkim! What kind of exercises are you doing? You should post in the exercise yard so Star and Carmen won't feel so lonely. ..(I'm hoping to be back later this week!)

Also, wanted to add that my November NSV is being able to clearly say that I want to go to restaurants that have menus with stuff I can eat, instead of just going along with the flow. . .

I was cleaning out the closet this weekend and pulled out some of the pants I haven't been able to wear yet and tried them on-most of the jeans were too small-even the 24s (although I'm able to wear 24s in most things-and 22s in a few). But I grabbed a pair of size 20 black velvet jeans (stretchy of course) just to see how far away I was-and THEY FIT! Size 20s! I started at a size 30. Now-I know it's just this particular pair of pants-but it's cool. I also found 2 other 22/24s that I couldn't wear a month ago and am wearing one of them now.

They did my measurements last week-i've lost about 16 inches (can't remember the exact #)-they cut a piece of ribbon to represent the # of inches-and i carry it around for motivation. I've been slowly picking up the exercise too-haven't done much at all. But i did get up 1/2 early today to do the 20min Pilates video.

Wow Juliemarie, that is great. All of those inches really add up, don't they?

My NSV is just to stay op over the holidays, and not use the season as an excuse to cheat. I am having a hard time in social situations. I used to be so good, but lately I have been struggling a lot more. I need to plan ahead better, so that I have some food to eat that does not throw me to the dogs! Katie

Katie-

Do you have a friend or SO that can help you stay OP at these things without being a jerk? Sometimes that helps-and, admittedly, sometimes it makes it worse.

I am just walking/jogging on a treadmill. I don't even have one, so my friend is kind of showing me HOW to do it. My goal is to be able to run an extended length of time, and I started out just running 2 minutes, the walking 3 minutes, etc... After 6 weeks, I'm up to running 5-7 minutes w/ only 2 minutes of fast walking in between

So it's all cardio and I do sweat each time. Due to my 2 lb loss, the center wanted me to try the blue plan (was on gold) b/c it gives me an extra starch and 1/2 protein - she said that maybe w/ the exercise I need a little more food. I'm going to try it and see what happens.

Okay I had a little NSV to share. Normally my husband or whoever (sis, mom, etc) avoid restaraunts that make you sit in a booth. Nothing I hate worse than trying to squish in there. Well my husband and I went to a little cafe the other morning for breakfast (had oatmeal uck!) anyway normally I would have to move the table to fit in the booth...well this time didn't have to... WOOOHOOOOOOOOO.....but my dh (dumb this time) didn't even notice....oh well i did!!
