Default Whey/soy power?

Hey there.

I've been browsing through the boards and have noticed a few recipies have whey/soy protein power in. What are the benefits of adding either power to certain foods? What does it do? Finally, what kind of foods can I add the power to, and is it worth it?

Thanks very much!

If you are on South Beach or a Low Carb plan, the protein powders increase your protein intake without adding too many carbs or calories. What plan are you following?
and I love your nickname!

The South Beach. What are the benefits of increasing protein intake? I've read through the book back to back and still, this doesn't make sense to me - does increased protein intake encourage weight loss in any way?

Thankyou! Hehe it's the title of a very beautiful Joseph Arthur song.

Well, increased protein replaces carbs in your diet and calories do count. That may be the theory. Is there some specific page that talks about increasing protein? Anyhow, South Beach works for lots of people so go for it!
