Thanks Barb for starting the thread this week.

3.5lbs!!!!!!!!! That is amazing What is your secret?
Did you do anything different last week that you think helped with such a great loss? Way to go, that is just awesome. I bet you are feeling fabulous.

I lost 2lbs this week which I am really happy about. Only 1lbs to my first mini goal of getting out of the 90s. I have promised myself to do it and I plan to stick to it. I have been thinking of getting a new scale that reads both lbs and ounces this would give me more of an opportunity to see even the smallest loss. Right now the scale is at 190lbs and has been there for 3 days (I am a scale addict ) and I would love to see if there has been any little change over those 3 days. Maybe it's just an excuse to shop, because I am sure I don't Really need it...lol

This week will be hard since we have a 9 year old daughter who loves to get as much candy as possible. I don't mind much because she is so extremely slim and very active; so we let her indulge at Halloween. That just means there will be a lot of candy and chocolate in the house....and chocolate is my biggest weakness.

Well my son is fussing so I must get going.

Can't wait to hear about everybody's progress this week.

GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY AND HAVE A GREAT HALLOWEEN

Thanks Andrea..

No secrets. Last week was my first week on plan. Those first weeks are usually the biggest loses.

I'm feeling really good. I don't know if it's my imagination or not, but my pajama bottoms are feeling kind of lose today...

Cool

Hey girls!

First things first, I am down 2 lbs from last Monday to 200. I've actually been there since Friday (my husband is more excited to see a change than I am) but I only like to note my progress on Mondays.

I am looking forward to my birthday a week from Friday but nervous about the cake and ice cream and dinner. And then the next week is Jax's surgery, so I probably should enjoy the time to eat while I can. Speaking of that, he has a condition involving his urethra and he's going to have recinstructive surgery on the 16th.

I want a new scale too! It would be nice to have one that counts fractions of pounds.

That's about it for me. Congrats to everyone on sticking with us!!

WooHoo!!! Great job everyone!

Don't forget to drink lots of water this week!

I lost 4 lbs this week so that is a total of 6 lbs for me.

Andrea: Do you think your husband will be happy about that new scale you want? You will be checking every hour to see if you have lost an ounce. LOL!!

Brianna: Oh, cake...yikes!! I too am going to be faced with a cake challenge. We are having a birthday party for my son on Saturday and I will be baking. I promise to be good if you promise.

Best of luck with your sons surgery. My son had his throat and ears reconstructed. I was a nervous wreck. I was balling my head off in the parents waiting room like a nut case. All the other parents were somehow able to control themselves.

I am so angry at myself because yesterday was not a good day at all I got a little carried away with Halloween candy and ate some chocolate that I really did not need. To top it all of I did not go for a walk or get active. I am truly disappointed in myself. The chocolate certainly did not make me feel better, but only worse. Hopefully it's out of my system and I will move on; I have the rest of of the week to make it better.

You girls are all doing so well this week and losing everywhere!!!!!

Cat: 4lbs!!!! that is so amazing. Everybody's having big loses this week. You are so right about the scale thing, my husband would not know what to do. He would either laugh at me and shake his head or just hide it right away without me even standing on it...LOL. If I get it as a Christmas gift than what can he say? I am joking. I really do not need it because I need to learn that I am not a slave to the scale and weighing once a week will help me to relax and not be so stressed about it all the time.

Brianna, have a great b-day this week. I think it's ok to indulge on certain days such as that, but just not over indulge. There is no reason you should not be able to enjoy a small piece of cake on your b-day. Great job on the 2lbs loss, you must feel so great. I remember when I got so close to getting out of the 200's it really motivated me to lose that 1lb. Similar to what I am going through now. You can do it for sure

Tryinagain 1.8lbs is also such an amazing loss. Do you find WW easy to follow? I would sometimes have a problem eating all my points and found my results were only better if I did.

myholidayboyz: Its not your imagination, your pants are bigger on you now because you are getting smaller

Well everybody is doing such a great job and it looks like we are all sticking to it. There should be some more weigh in's this week and I cannot wait to see everybody's progress. For me today I am getting my butt back in gear and heading out for a walk very shortly.

What does everybody eat for breakfast? That is my hardest meal of the day because I don't like a lot of breakfast foods and try to cut some carb out of my diet. Not all carbs just the breads; any suggestions for a healthy breakfast? Btw, I don't really like dairy at all...no eggs, cheese which sometimes makes breakfast a pain.

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!

Hi!

This is what I do for breakfast:

Oatmeal and Morningstar Bacon Strips (these are vegetarian bacon). I am a veggie and love these! Yum! I am making myself hungry. You can throw a few sliced almonds and cinammon on top.

Kashi w/ Blueberries and either Pavel's Plain Yogurt with Splenda or veg bacon

Toast w/ Peanut Butter. For this, I use a specific type of bread that has lentil sprouts baked into it. It is low in bad carbs, high in protein, high in fiber and actually quite good. It isn't one of those funky "low carb diet products" just more healthy. I can't remember the name but if you want to know I will go check. They sell it at all the major grocery stores and Costco.

Sometimes I make a smoothie with yogurt, frozen fruit, spinach and wheat germ. Did you know you can't tast spinach in a smoothie? I read it somewhere and tried it. It's true. My kids slurp it right down and don't even flinch!

Spread some peanut butter on Bananas and then roll them in wheat germ or crushed nuts. It's quick, filling and healthy.

I also try to cut out some carbs but if I am going to have carbs I think the best time to have it is at breakfast. So, if I want a treat I will have two whole wheat toaster waffles and a couple of bacon strips. It feels like such a great treat and really isn't too many calories.

Breakfast is a big change for me. I used to skip breakfast alot or eat an unfilling breakfast cereal. Now, I really try to eat a breakfast that fills me up and I feel a lot better for doing it.

I always use the natural peanut butter because it has no added sugar not to mention many other odd ingredients.

Also, I love the Pavel's plain yogurt. I know you aren't big on dairy but in case anyone is interested. It is a greek yogurt I think and tastes really yummy. I just mix in a bit of splenda and sometimes fruit. If you read the ingredients the list is quite short compared to many of the big brands and it has alot less carbs by nature.

Ooooh, I forgot!

I always drink green tea with breakfast. It helps to slow down my eating and make me feel more satisfied. Plus, some experts believe it helps speed up the metabolism. So, if you like it, it doesn't hurt to try it.

I also learned from reading the Schwarzbein Principle that taking fiber before your meals helps to regulate blood sugar and therefore aids in weight loss. So, before breakfast I have a glass of water with benefiber in it. Technically, you could do this before every meal but I don't. I was afraid to try it at first thinking it would cause some bathroom implications but it really doesn't and is healthy for you.

Wow Cat those are some awesome ideas. What sucks is that here in Canada we do not have the variety of low fat/calorie food you have in the states. I lived beside the Michigan border for a bit a few years ago and I would always go across the border to buy groceries. That is when I was going to WW and losing weight for my wedding and we don't have the WW meals in Canada so I would stock up over in the US. The one dairy I like is yogurt so I sometimes put granola or special K cereal in some fat free vanilla yogurt.

Hey there ladies! Great to hear about all ya'lls progress...way to go!!! I bought a new digital scale last weekend only to find that I am 7 pounds heavier than the other scale weighed me but thats ok because I am still in a "normal" weight area for my height. I have lost three of the 7 pounds so far and more than last I am seeing and feeling the results! I got my transfirmer on Monday, it came with 4 DVDs that are amazing! I exercised a lil today but the baby woke before I could finish so I am going to do ab work and weights this afternoon. Hope everything is going well for ya'll too. As you can see by my new ticker I have a lil over a month to reach my goals, I'm tryin my best!

I am so mad.
I typed this long message just a few minutes ago and clicked "post." Something messed up and my post was gone and unretrievable. :-P
Way to go everyone! Yea us! We are one awesome group of weight losing hussies! Everyone had tremendous success. I lost 2.4 at WW tonight! I got my 10% keychain and my 25 lb magnet! Those silly little prizes truly motivate me. My loss is amazing considering how BAD I was at a Halloween party. I wont go into detail, but it was BAD. But I only did it that one night and was good the rest of the week, and I think that was the key. It's nice to know you can blow one night every once in a while and be okay. So don't worry about having that birthday dinner and cake girl! It is your birthday! Just pick back up the next day. It is too easy to let one fun night be the downfall of a great diet. Well, I better go. Hopefully this time the post will work, grrrrrr.....
Have a great weekend ladies! XOXOXOXOX

Just wanted to check in with everybody before the weekend starts. You are all doing such an amazing job....KEEP IT UP

I need to make up for a lot of eating mistakes this weekend and started today with extra working out. If I do not have a loss this week I will understand why; my main concern is that I do not gain. If I happen to stay the same it will teach me a lesson for not having stronger will power. We are headed out to a
football game tonight and it will only be diet soda for me and NO hotdogs

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND GIRLS
