Andrea! I don't think I said it,

so I hope you'll accept a belated
WHOOP!WHOOP!
ChaChaCHA! on reaching your mini-goal... EARLY! ...You'll be riding again, too! You're SO off to a great journey - 25 pounds in what, 6 weeks?! It's too bad that some of the riding places don't offer carraige driving. The insurance on it is REALLY horrendous! but it's SO much fun!
The hot-chocolate talk had me hustle out to buy some SF instant last night. I don't count points, I do calories, (protein, carbs and fiber, with an eye on fats... yes a little obsessive

compulsive, and yes, I have been on the scale
every morning for the last 2 weeks. I just don't get upset when they aren't perfect... scale went down one more yesterday, up two today - that's a natural fluctuation so I don't freak out...Besides, TOM will be here in a week or two and I can blame everything on him!

On days when I think I've really blown it and I'm really bummed out about it, writing it down actually puts it in perspective - I've rarely done anywhere near as bad as i think I have....) I started talking about

hot chocolate, SF only has 25 cals, plus a dolop of FF whipped cream? 15 cals. Your right - the real thing is BEST! But even SF/FF is a treat for under 50 cals. Keeps me from having the carb fits & cravings afterwards, too.
Ammi - Yeah, I miss riding. A year ago my friends at the barn convinced me to go for a quiet ride on my old 'Steega'. I've had him from 1yo & trained him. He had gaits like velvet & we were always so in tune. Just walking thru the woods that day, my face started leaking like crazy. I'm especially glad I took that ride since I'll probably never be able to ride him again. He's had 2 injuries to the same leg and will never be 100% sound again. He's still the sweetest, funniest, kissy-face pony I ever met... There's a girl at my barn who's both tall and not thin who bought a Percheron draft horse (or draught if you prefer). I'd love to ride him! He makes even my friesian look like a shetland pony!
Dogpal - YES! I've been to northern Idaho. One of the two most under-rated states (the other being Utah.) It's beautiful thru the eastern part, too. I'd LOVE to ride there!!! That's one thing about losing some weight. Most rental places have a limit on there horses of 210-250 pounds max. I really want to see more of the West from the back of a horse... and hon, you are SO coming down fast on the 3's - keep up the
fantastic work!!

...I'll also root for your hubby's Vikings this year - especially when they play the Giants or the Jets... but maybe not so much against my poor Browns or the Bills

...My condolences on the kennel - I know how I would feel if my baby had to go to furbaby prison

& I, too, hope
Wyllen's pups are on the mend!
Wyllen - Don't worry about the Indian food - you did some pretty good damage control and hopefully had a fun evening. One meal won't make or break your diet, and is never as bad as you think... ok, except at McD's. More cals once in a while will probably bump up metabolism in the long run, so see? No damage done! By this time next week, will that one meal really matter

in the big picture with as well as you're doing otherwise??? Keep up the great progress!
Voodoo - I have an American Quarter Horse (my old man), a Morgan/Arab cross (elderly but solid and sound) and a new, untrained friesian. I love the warmbloods! And Shire's are wonderful - I had a thoroughbred mare I almost bred to one once. Those crosses are quite popular as "heavy hunters" over here. I'm not doing anything strenous yet - just 20 mins walking & an occasional short jog, but it's good to be starting again, and I want to train the new guy next year. Talk about motivation! Sorry you didn't get to ride on vacation, and again, it would be nice if people offered driving- what a blast! .... Congrats on leaving the halloween evils in alone, too! And what's this about you going to NZ???
Brenda
Don't be disappointed with WI this week. Two more down is VERY good progress!

and besides, things in your chemistry fluctuate all the time. There was a guy on BIggest Loser (who was working out 20 hours/week and eating a really strict diet) who lost
ZERO one week - the next week he lost 14!! He was averaging a pound a day loss, and he STILL showed '0' after one week. If anyone else here lost two pounds, you'd be cheering for them - so give yourself a
WHOOP! WHOOP! and keep up the great work!!!!!
Julee! Your "retreat" sounds like

temptation by the ton! You did SO great. I thought I was good because I managed to escape the brownies at a bonfire last night, but YOU really "show 'em how it's done!"

Well done! ... Sounds like your dad is looking forward to you and Jason having a really awesome "Big Day"! It will
Perfect, I'm sure!! ... And NOTHING could feel much better (short of your upcoming

events) than having Mr.

eat his hairless little words! AWESOME!!! So great to have people say "Wow!"
AMYLIZ! A huge
CONGRATULATIONS
and BEST WISHES

FOREVER!! on your marraige! May you be blessed beyond your wildest dreams... and my your husband not turn out to be a game addict

...although that above many other things, like a neat freak

...AWEsome that you even lost weight!!!
Holy-Moly, Catherine!
What a wild woman, and NOW??? Oh my goodness!
What an incredible blessing!! DO keep us posted!!! I'm so thrilled for you!!!

There's just nothing more one can say after that news!!
