Default New and looking for some Motivation

Hello all. I am a new member and am looking for a buddy. I'm a 25 year old male from southwest Iowa, and looking for anyone to buddy up with. I'm wanting to lose between 25-50lbs depending on any muscle I gain. I'm not expecting to be ripped, just solid, healthy, and happy again. It's hard knowing u can do something but don't have the guts to do it because u weigh a little more. If anyone is interested in just checking in with eachother, helping eachother with the diet, or cardio/weight training I would be very thankful. I actually know alot about cardio and weight training. I played football in college and learned many things, I also read nonstop on diet and fitness. Hopefully we can teach eachother a few things to get us healthy again. All that's left is someone to help me get motivated to do it. Hope to hear from ya soon.

Thanks, Luke

Hey Luke, what's up? I don't know if you're looking for another male buddy or what but either way I wanted to welcome you! I would be happy to kick your butt into motivation if need be -- anyway though, just wanted to say hey! Hope you had a good weekend!

So don't worry ... fresh day tomorrow and it's the 1st of the month! Can't help but for that to motivate me, don't know why Anyway, no kids for me yet, that little gal is my niece, I love her to bits! Anyway though, hey if you want to go back & forth with pm's (personal messages) or emails or in this thread ... whatever you want, I'll keep my eye out for you! let me know how you do tomorrow

Hey I thought u looked too young to be a mom. I did better today, did some cardio and a light resistance workout. And yes Jillian is awesome, eventhough I didn't like her as much in season 1. I'm going for my Iowa boy Matt, talk with ya soon. Luke

Hey Luke! It's weird, I personally always liked Jillian but in season 1 I didn't really think about it much but for some reason this season I don't know if they show her more or what but she's just really motivational ... yeah Matt rocks! I like him & Dr. Jeff ... how young do I look? hahahaha ... some people tell me I look 16 and I'm like dang ... I'm 23 which I guess is kinda young to be a mom but I definitely wouldn't be opposed to being one at my age.
I'm glad you had a better day! How long do you workout at a time? Do you go to a gym or do you workout from home? I did some cardio today but I really took it up a notch -- had a crappy day at work so right when I got home I was working out like a mad woman ... that's the only good thing about being in a bad mood or having a bad day -- I always have better workouts those day.
Wow, I'm babbling ... hope you're having a good day today! Talk to you soon!

What's up Dizzy. Hey ladiesl, I was out of town yesterday SORRY! I'm hanging in there, not perfect but feeling a little better about myself. Did 45min on the bike+8 wind sprints(not too fast though, not recommended by most for weight loss but it seems to get me in shape just that much quicker so I can up my cardio without any problems. Mainly for my cardio I stick with the treadmill or bike(30-45min in my target heart range.)I'm trying to do abs 4 times a week using resistance bands, but I hate abs. I actually rotate days between resistance bands and mostly dumbells. I purchased the 6 week body makeover and eventhough I couldn't stick to the diet plan it has every excercise imaginable for the resistance bands. I do mainly 3-4 sets of each excercise, 2 per body part and 8-10 reps per set. Well enough of me rambling on ,hopefully I'll hear from u 2 studs soon. Later, Luke

First off I am no expert. If you want some suggestions I will gladly help. Let me know how much time you want to spend a week on cardio/resistance/weight training and what u want to focus on (weightloss only, firming/toning, getting in better shape, gaining muscle, or all of the above) Also (don't do anything that's gonna hurt you) injuries, soreness, etc. I pulled my hamstring really bad last year in a softball game and am finally back to 95% or so. Some injuries can nag u forever. Remember this... more lean muscle mean more calories burnt throughout the day, even when ur sitting. Talk with ya chicas Later, Luke

Oops sorry Mrs. e333, let me know what u have available. Resistance bands, gym, any home equipment. Actually u can do about anything without any equipment at all.

Luke
