Default starting again...need buddy

i am 25 years old 5'3" 160 ish lbs. i have been on a diet for about the past 5 years. i start again just about every monday and am soooo sick of it. my biggest loss was jan-mar 05. i lost 25 lbs by counting calories and fat grams. i have gained most of it back.

i am looking for someone to keep me accountable and with similar stats or goals. i dont have much problem eating healthy, except for lately, but i dont exercise. i like to walk and used to do it 4-5 times a week. i hate lifting weights but also know that this is necessary. i have the WATP tapes, winsor pilates, and tae bo boot camp. i did each maybe 3 times.

i dont want to be like this anymore. i feel lazy and fat and gross. i am in my best friend's wedding in sept 06 and want to lose 40-50 by then, if not sooner.

anyone intereested in beeing my buddy???

Hey Amanda! I'm 5'4" and was up to 150 when i found this forum. I have lost 5 pounds over the last month and am looking to loose another 15. I am a little older than you (35 - okay, a lot older!) but can try to help keep you accountable if you would like.

Sometimes I feel as if I too have been dieting for the past 4 or 5 years. It seems as if I spent every winter going up to 145 and every summer getting back to 135. It can be so frustrating.

Try to keep busy over the weekends. Last weekend was the first one in about 2 months that I didn't go crazy and eat everything in the house, so it can be done

I think lifting weights will help. I *hate* it too, but as of October 1st made a promise to my self to spend at least 20 minutes, twice weekly, with weights. I think it is helping - one of the ladies at my job commented yesterday on how toned i was looking.

Just remember, you lost the weight before, and you can do it again!

Hi,
I'm a lot older than you three, and need to lose weight. I'm 44, 5'3 and 160 lbs. I've been dieting my whole life (always had a weight problem), and I also am in need of support. I have about 25 to 35 pounds to lose. If your interest, I'd like to buddy up also. I seem to be having trouble giving up the sugar again, and just eating healthy. I totally quit exercising, and I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. I just started the Turbo Jam DVD, and I'm enjoying them, although, I just started this week. I actually exercised 3 days this week, which is a lot better than all the many, many weeks before. lol. Oh, and I'm really, really addicted to Diet Pepsi. Any support and encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

Post looking for buddy

I have just joined and I have been seriously trying to lose weight for about 6 months now and it has been a very slow process. We have just recently moved so I no longer have the support of my family being close by (my mom used to babysit for me to go to the gym). My baby will be a year old on December 20 and I would like to lose most of my "baby" weight by then. I would be happy with just 10 pounds by Christmas. I just can't seem to lose more than a few pounds a month and it gets really discouraging when it seems like I have been doing everything right so, then I binge. I am looking for someone to help hold me more accountable. I am 29 and have 2 kids. I like to scrapbook and try anything crafty. We have just moved to Hawaii and I hate going to the beach because that means a swimsuit. If you are interested in buddying up please let me know. F.Y.I, I am very new to this internet stuff.

Hi - my name is Sarah. I'm 30, and am at about 172 pounds (I'm 5'6"). I have been successful in the past the first time I joined Weight Watchers (but not the 2nd, 3rd, or even 8th time!). I was successful using LA Weight Loss before my wedding to shed 15 pounds - but I've put it all back on since I got married in April. I could definitely use some motivation, and some accountability. Perhaps we can form our own mini-support group and check in with eachother. Do you guys have a specific day when you weigh, or do you judge success by other things - like on a daily basis have you done what you wanted to do as far as diet and exercise, etc? I'm planning to give this a fresh start tomorrow - what better day than the 1st? My goal is to not be so hard on myself and not so strict that I set myself up to fail. More specifically - my goal for tomorrow (one day at a time, right?) is to keep a journal, and to drink all my water. I don't think that's unreasonable for day 1. If I succeed, perhaps I'll add something else to the mix for day 2. Anyone want to jump on board?
