It's a Canadian diet company. They put you on a low calorie diet, and sell very expensive herbal pills.
I'm all for organic foods and eating as natural as possible. And I'm all for herbs, as long as they are seasoning my foods, lol. The problem with herbal weight loss supplements is that they are not regulated, so they can make virtually any claims they want, and don't have to prove them. So that leaves a whole industry wide open to fraudulent claims, and they are well known for doing just that. I've never seen an herbal diet product that could prove their claims. Yet they are all wildly over priced. Plus, they can contain potentially dangerous ingredients. These are some of the reasons why we do not support herbal diet products on this website.
Here are some quotes I found on the internet from various users of Herbal Magic-
I couldn't believe the horse-pill size and amount of the vitamin supplements that I was supposed to take. I only lasted about 2.5 weeks before I got a severe case of diarrhea and stomach cramps... needless to say, I stopped taking the stuff and didn't go back on it.
I have a friend who works for Herbal Magic, and her honest opinion is that the food program they recommend works more than anything else. In other words, the whole "herbal" aspect of it isn't the main component that causes you to lose weight, they use it to get money out of you.
I know someone who was on it too. They taught you about following the Canadian food guide - gave you "herbal" pills, but it was definitely the food and proportions that made the biggest difference. Once he made his goal weight, he slipped up a bit by eating his "regular" type of food before he was on the program and he started to gain again. So I just say, following the Canadian Food guide...
I know no one asked, lol, but I couldn't help sharing my opinion
