Default looking for a buddy with a big weight loss goal!

Hello everyone! I just found this website this afternoon and have spent most of the evening just checking things out! I am very excited as I finally have people who understand what it is like to be overweight. My name is Brenda and I live in Prince Edward Island, Canada. I am 31 and have been over 200lbs since I was 12 yrs old. I have a wonderful husband who loves me unconditionally and since I want to spend my entire life with him, I have made the decision that I want that life to be as long and enjoyable as I can make it. I have finally realized that only I can make this happen. On July 22 I started taking Xenical, watching my fat and calorie intake as well as increasing my exercise by walking at least 2 days per week, using my exercise bike 4-5 days per week and going to AquaFit classes 3 evenings per week. It is Working!! I have reached somewhat of a plateau now but I know what I have to do to overcome it. The only problems I have is trying to stay motivated and trying to stop snacking in the evenings. Maybe I can try to spend some of my evenings here reading and chatting. Looking forward to meeting all of you!

Nice to meet you ladies! I need all the help and motivation I can get today. It is Turkey Day here in Canada and I not only have one, but two turkey dinners this afternoon. I thought of a way that I can stay on track and still enjoy my meal though. I am going to bring a salad with me and just add turkey for the earlier one. That way I will have some room for a "normal" dinner for the later one. I am bringing the dessert for the earlier one so I know what is in it and for the later one, at my in-laws, my super supportive mother in law, made mini angel food cakes with lemon filling. We all LOVE lemon mirangue (spelling!) pie and this is a great low-fat alternative!

As far as exercise, it's going to be slim today! It is pouring rain, the 3rd day in a row, and the dog refuses to walk in it My husband works the night shift tonight so I think I will try some taeBo. Has anyone tried this? Billy Blanks is a beast! *L* I would LOVE to have him as a trainer! I bought "Billy Blanks BootCamp" at Wal-mart, tried it once, and hid the DVD *L* What a workout! It is 50 minutes long and only lasted 15. I felt like a failure at first but once I realized how skinny they were and that they were on a video for a reason, I dug it out again. We'll see how I do tonight. My cardio has been better each time that I have worked out... someday!

What are you all doing for cardio?

Hi. I really don't have an exercise routine as of yet. I used to go to the gym, but I moved to another town 2 months ago that is about 30 miles from my gym so I canceled my membership. I need to start working now that the weather is cooling off here in Mississippi. My husband is getting me a treadmill for Christmas so it won't be long until I will be walking daily for sure. There are gyms where I live now, but none have childcare and I have an almost four year old son and my husband works long hours at car dealership.

My sister told me she wanted to try to Billy Blanks workout and told me to look into it, too. I may see about getting it and trying it. I better make sure my husband is at home just in case I fall out from exhaustion! LOL

I have some Billy Blanks at home, too. What I like about him is that he's not a shallow 5'3" 100-lb bimbo ... it's a little harder to compare myself to a buff African-American man who seems like a genuine person.

Lately, I haven't done much cardio. I do Curves, but I can tell it's not enough cardio to really make the impact I need it to make.

My cardio today will be jumping up and down and cheering for you guys!

G'Afternoon everyone! Hope every one has better weather than we have today. Rain, rain go away!

I have had a pretty sweet experience today that I will share! Today I threw out my bra extenders haha!! As silly as it is, I was pretty excited, did a little dance around the bed and looked around to make sure that my husband wasn't awake!
