Talking Wanted to say Hi!

I just recently decided to lose weight and came across this site. I think it's great! It has motivated me so much. I started on October 1 and so far I have lost an even ten pounds. (Too bad I keep hearing it's just water weight ). I really need to get motivated to exercise! I can't make myself do it when I should! But I am doing great at cutting the calories.
Well just thought I'd stop by and say Hi, I come here everyday and I am hoping to post and join in on some of the challenges and stuff like that. I'm 240 and am trying to lose 105 pounds by October 1 next year. Hopefully I can reach my goal! My name is Shannon and I am 22 yrs old, with 3 children ages 3, 4 and 5.. I live in Wisconsin.
I would love to get a buddy! Anyone that needs encouragment or support or just wants to chat, feel free!

Good luck to everyone.

Hi Shannon!!

Congratulations on losing 10lbs so far!! That's fantastic! Even though we all start off losing water weight, eventually we start losing the fat too. So continue what it is that you're doing and start incorporating in some exercises, and you'll reach your goal by next year!

Glad to have you here!

Cool

Hi Shannon,
and Welcome. I am new here too. Although I have been on my diet for about 4 months now. Congratulations on losing the first 10 lbs. It is a great start whether it is water weight or not!

I was like you on the exercise at first. I could not get motivated. Now I have been doing an exercise bike and walking outside and just bot the Yourself Fitness game and started it Friday. I think I am going to really like it. But I am easily bored with tapes, etc. So, I plan on buying one of the dance dvds too and see if it is fun. I NEED FUN !

You are so young and now is a great time to lose the weight. Three children should keep you mighty busy. My daughter has two ages 3 & 5 and has been keeping her sister-in-laws 1 yr. old while she had another baby, so I have been hearing how much work it is for 3 of 'em.

You are doing so well, so stay motivated and come and post often. It keeps me outa trouble... Take care and hope to see you around the forums!

Welcome Shannon.

We all have trouble getting motivated to do our exercises. I have trouble drinking enough water and doing my exercises. I do well with eating. On occasion I do splurge a little. I could really go for some ice cream. I went shopping on Saturday and it was calling my name.. Annie.. Annie.. But I passed it up. I love Ben & Jerry's. Considering they make it here in Vermont it is quite popular and you can find it in every store. I pass. I am looking into getting some lower fat snack bars. That way I can have a little bit of ice cream.

I can tell you it's hard but you have to take it day to day. Start out slow and add something to your work out each week or add minutes or more reps. I am jogging in place. For starters. 2 months ago it was killer on my legs just get in 2 minutes. Today I jogged for 5. It was actually easy and fun because my 3 1/2 y.o. daughter was doing it with me. She actually made me forgot that I was exercising. It was more like playing with her.

Keep up the good work. 10lbs is a great way to start. I have just started back here at the site and after being here a week I lost a pound and that was with minimal exercise. Imagine what I can do if I actually do some working out. Come here often for motivation, encouragement and support. Most of all friendship. We all know what you are going through.

You can do it.::
