Default Hi from TN - Yep, another Newbie!

Hi ladies ... Just thought I'd introduce myself ... my name is Stacye, I'm 37 y.o. and I'm on a journey to turn my THINside out!

As of yesterday I've lost 38 lbs (YaY me!). I've found that setting 15 lb mini-goals works for me - but admit that my long term goal is to lose 100 lbs (anything over that will simply be a bonus!) ... I have a LONG road ahead of me, but I'm up for the trip! I KNOW that this time is different - this time I refuse to fail - this time I'm doing it for ME!

I look forward to getting to know you all!

Lotsa Losing!

Default Welcome, Stacye!

I'm new here, too. I'd like to have a buddy or two as well. I'm guessing that's one way to get involved in the forum/community and start making myself accountable for my actions.

Congrats on the weight you've already lost! That's a significant amount of weight - I can't imagine but I bet it feels great.

Congrats on current weight lose. Way to Go. If your interested, there is a 30something group. I just joined it and feel at home already. If you need a buddy, just look me up.

The same goes for you too, phantastica. If you need a buddy and just need to chat. I'll listen. Again, welcome to the group. And good luck on your goals.

Thank you ladies for such a warm welcome! I can tell already that this is going to be such a wonderful place to be!

phantastica :: Congrats to you on your weight loss - that's PHANTASTIC! You and I started at the same weight - 315 (altho, my highest was 330) ... It's going to be a long, slow journey but I know that we can do it! If you'd ever like to chat ... just give me a holler - a little support goes a long way!

Annie :: Congrats to you too hun ... 27 lb is a great accomplishment as well! I can't begin to tell you just how much better I feel with the weight I've lost so far - to be honest, not alot of people have noticed - but I see it and feel it! Especially in little things like aches & pains in my knee - they've greatly improved ... I also notice it in my clothes, seems I'm always having to pull up my panites ... ALOT ... oh and my wedding rings - they're getting very loose, which is funny to me b/c they were so snug on my wedding day! Ahhhhh... the little things!! .... Oh and before I forget - thanks for the info on the 30somethings thread ... I'm going to check it out right now - so see ya there!!

Stacye :: Just saw that saying today and thought it would make a nice little taggie. So I made it up in a jiffy. I find to occupy my time I play in Paint Shop Pro on my computer. It helps to keep my mind off of things. Not always food but it sure does help.

sweetdreams :: I'm sorry to hear about your divorce. I've been there and done that already. It's not fun. But in the end I was definitely better off without him. Everytime I would say that I was going to lose weight he would just make me feel bad about myself. Telling me I couldn't do it. He thought that his negative comments would make me want to lose it even more. On the contrary, it just made me feel worse about myself. It got to a point where I would drink water, eat crackers and have some cup-a-soup and maybe dinner if he was home. I lost about 15 pounds in less then 2 weeks. I was starving myself. But I am so glad at the time I found 3FC. It totally changed my way of thinking. That I needed to lose weight the healthy way.

So if either of you ever need to vent, cheer, or just gab. Shoot me an email. Lots of buddies is a good thing.

Have a great night all. I am off to finish dinner.

Hugs, Annie

There's always room for a buddy. I like to think you can't have enough. It's a great way to get things off of minds. And it's just nice to have that moral support. SO just jump right on in. If ya ever need to talk, you can always PM me or email me. What kind of diet are you trying? Do you have a set routine yet? Good luck.

Annie

Hello Illinois,

What part of Illinois are you from? I am originally from Iowa, but my brother lives in Illinois right now. I believe he lives in a little town called Stronghurst. It's still close to Iowa so he can drive back to visit.

Anyways, I'm Annie. Welcome to the group. You are going to find so much support here. I was gone for 2 years and just came back here myself. Haven't even been here a week and I am loving all the support and friendship I am finding. You are going to love it here. You'll find we have many things in common. So how much weight are you wanting to lose? Are you in any programs/gym? Any special diet that you are trying?

Feel free to chat to me here or if you ever need to you can email me or send me a PM. Good luck. Jump on in. Make sure to check out other forums you might something of interest to you. I'm in a 30-something group and I am also doing a challenge with some gals in a Christmas challenge. I am setting my goal at 20 pounds by Christmas. So enjoy and good luck. And remember to have fun and don't let the set backs get you down.
