Hello There! I can certainly appreciate your busy life. I have 4 children, 2 step, and 2 babies. John is 2 1/2 and Peter is 3 months. I am 33 years old and am determined to get healthy, not only for myself but mainly for me kids. I want to see them become old men. I have about 70 more lbs to lose and hace lost 33 since having my baby in June. I joined Weight Watchers because I need the structure and support. I am also very happy to have found this forum. Please go ahead and add me if you like. I am sure that we can help one another. I now realize that having a support system is half the battle. Strength in Numbers!

Good luck to you!!!!

Talking Thanks for the support

Thank you both so much for your replies, your support means so much, I am ready to get motivated (i hope) I had thought of WW but have no group where I live, plus doing shift work is a real social nightmare. My sister is on the south beach diet and is doing really well, i joined WW at home a few years ago, never got started, might be the thing to pull it out and give it a go, post every week on my tracker. I am in lets go

Hi, I too have alot to lose. I am at 288 and want to get down to 150. I joined this board yesterday and am still trying to find my way around. I have 4 children, 13,12,6, and 3. I am a full-time student and a part-time substitute teacher. I too have tried WeightWatchers and did have some success but it's been almost a year now since I've been. The more people I have pushing me and cheering me on the better.

Cool I am new and want to introduce myself!!!

Okay, have spent countless hours talking about losing weight. Life changes have made it possible for me to have the time to do something about it. There is a few problems in my way. One, I hate exercise and really need to be talked into it. I have trouble with me knees and of course, being overweight makes it worse. Two, I love all food!!! I need to cut down on the junk and concentrate on smaller meals. Three, family genetics and years of mistreating my body have my metabolism at a snail's pace.

So I guess what I am saying is I need help and maybe, just maybe, I can get it from this site.

Personal info-big body, big heart, big brain and no one to share it with. No kids, but I do live with three nephews and my brother and sister-in-law which I consider almost as good as having your own. They are 9, 7, and 4 and yes they are the best kids ever and yes, I am biased.

Moved to a new area and am hoping to meet some people. Putting in an application to become a substitute teacher and should meet some people that way plus got a part time job at Wal-Mart, and "EVERYONE" shops at Wal-Mart.

Well, just wanted to say hello and I hope to hear from some of you along the way.

Can't provide vitals as I don't own a scale but would guess I weigh around 325 lbs. and would like to weigh 175 lbs., so that means my goal is 150 lbs. I bet my knees would feel great if I could accomplish that.

Talk to everyone soon.

BQ
