Morning!! My weekend went pretty well, but I ate too much pizza too. In fact, I had a little too much of everything. I've gone two weeks without losing now and I think I just got depressed and went a little crazy. I know, I know, that's not going to help anything that's for sure. This is my first real plateau I think, and it STINKS.

Happy Monday y'all! Woo hoo, Friday my Fiance and I go to Sedona (where we go every year on your anniversary and where he proposed in April) FRIDAY for our anniversary. This time we are staying at one of the resorts that we are considering having the wedding at. I am so excited, I can't wait for the week to end. I am upping my workouts since I will miss my normal Saturday workout. We hike and walk around the town and do OTHER strenuous activities, but I want to feel like I did my best to make up for not being able to hit the gym. That and the September challenge ends FRIDAY TOO! I don't have that much to go. We're gonna do a October challenge right girls? Have a great day!

Good Morning Ladies,

I had a great weekend. My husband and I took our daughter to the Big E festival in Massachusetts. OMG it was huge, we did not even see half the stuff there. I did pretty good on the food factor until we got home... we brought there famous Big E cream puff and eclair home. Welp, I ate the cream puff at 10:30. I was so upset the next morning. I try not to eat anything after 8pm, never mind eating this huge cream puff. The sad thing is, it was not even that good- but yes I did eat it.

So what is the October challenge going to be? This month I am doing pretty good on the 2000 minutes. Maybe next month we can mix it up a bit though. Ideas anyone?

I didn't have too much of anything this weekend, just too little in the exercise department. I'm stuck. I've been plateaued at 159 for over a month now. I haven't been doing much strength training. In fact, almost all of my exercise has been walking. It is better than nothing, but obviously not enough.

I have state 9-ball pool tournement this weekend. It will be too smokey for the baby, so I decided that I'll have a sub for me, Shaun will shoot and I will shop. We will be where there is good food and good shopping. Hopefully I can get some exercise this week to make up for the great food we will be eating!

Hello everyone! I might not be posting as much as usual because I am having issues with repetitive stress injury from too much typing (seeing how I am a computer science student and I type all the time!!).

I ate okay this weekend, not great but not bad. Yesterday we went and picked apples! Yum yum yum. I have been getting into the fall harvest foods -- especially squash! I love squash, it's like dessert in a vegetable. Or maybe it's like dessert because I add brown sugar. Buttercup squash = YUM.

Anyway, I haven't been too careful about my eating lately, which is probably why I haven't lost any weight, but at least I haven't gained any. Back on track this week though!

HI ladies!

Paperclippy, apples sound yummy! I also LOVE pumpkin. Fall is my favorite time of year.
I have been doing ok with my food (1500-1800 calories a day which is kinda high for what I want but I'm not binging). My trouble area just this week is exercise. I ALWAYS exercise, at LEAST 4 days a week (normally 6) for the past 5 months! For some reason this week I've had a queasy tummy and have been just LAZY when it comes to exercise. So what happens?? My plateau breaks and I've lost 2 pounds in the past week when I can only lose about 1.25 when I'm exercising for 90 minutes a day! What's up with that?? It is not helping me get out of my exercise slump at all. I really don't need to be encouraged at all. Any ideas?
I hope everyone has a great week! I'm going to try to post more. My little baby boy turned 6 last week so we were pretty busy with birthday stuff. I'm going to try to get back on track now!

Hey girls! So I went with my friend to a swing dance class last night. It was so fun! We learned the Charleston. I'm going to go to the library tonight to see if they have any instructional videos so I can work up a sweat. I need variety in my workouts! Hopefully I'll be able to persuade DH to join me. (yeah right!!!) Has anybody taken any dance classes? What did you enjoy?

Hope your week is starting off better than mine did!

Oh how fun Fuller! I love dance. I have always taken jazz and hip hop but I love all kinds. I bought a dance video a while ago but my mom borrowed it and hasn't given it back yet, it was so fun! You don't even think of it as a workout! They offer all kinds of classes at the community colleges for dance!!! I think I will take one next semester, I was too afraid this semester because I have gotten so out of shape, but I think that I could handle it now and not be afraid! Fun find!

Hellooo Ladies!!

Sorry I've been so sporadic lately. I have so MANY excuses about what my "problem" is, but I think I just let myself stay in a slump.
What always helps me get out of a slump? Exercise!! And what have I been doing? Sitting around feeling sorry for myself!! hehe hm... do we see a problem here?

I dropped my hardest class today which means I will have about 100% more free time to stay on track. There are no excuses now!!! I'm stressed about it, and .. well everything else.. in general, but I'm hoping that if I can just get myself a little better organized I'll start feeling better and be a lot more productive.

The 5K was really fun!! I didn`t get ANY sleep the night before, but I was some how able to run over half of it and finish in the middle of the pack. I'm excited about my jogging potential and now I'm trying to find some jogging buddies around here that will jog outside with me since it is finally cooling down.

Oh, and the boy kissed me. Soooo.. well, that answered my "Does-he-like-me?" question.. but so far he hasn't come up with a good response to the "What-about-your-girl-friend?" question. Oh well.

Hope everyone is having a good week!!! I promise I'm not going to slack off anymore!!

Wasted - for your sake, I just hope he isn't a player.

Haha well I only went to Curves 2 times last week.. was going to go Friday but I didn't get out of the house in time before work. However, I do not feel guilty about that since I went to a local (gay) club with a bunch of (straight) friends.. Haha I love going there (except on drag show nights.. the drags are SCARY!) and I got to dance insanely with my friends (including a good friend I havent seen in ages who frequents that place.. hehe). And it broke my plateau.. I feel so proud that my scale reads 195 in the morning.. although now i am saying that, and since I live by Murphy's Law it will shoot back up tomorrow

And ew I had to do a report on one of three movies for my history class, and of course Blockbuster only had the one I didn't want to do.. The Passion of the Christ, because it made me sick when i watched it at the movies. I had to look away at parts this time around too, but I was expecting it so it wasnt that bad... ick! It was due today and I ended up not going to school from exhaustion (I have rarely slept since Friday... thats my own fault, since we stayed at the club until 2 am and then went ghost hunting.. I didnt get home until 5 am and i had work at noon... ick ick ick!) So I am going to get a bus to main tomorrow and drop off my report, then take a bus back, since I have an off-campus class tomorrow night.

Well that's all my fun.. later ladies!

Hi ladies,

Oy vey I've been gone a while. I've been back from vacation for 6 days and am so busy I can hardly sit down. I've finally bit the bullet and admitted I've had a serious backslide. I've set a Thanksgiving goal for myself to lose 10 pounds and have my running back up to 20 miles a week. Since I got back from vacation 6 days ago (vacation did it - I just ate and ate and ate...) I've been focusing on little changes. Just doing little things has never worked well for me in the past but is working well right now. I've cut out alcohol (done that for 3 weeks, actually, w/ the exception of some wine on BF & my 2-month anniversary), cut out diet soda entirely, been slowly increasing my protein intake, re-upped my calcium intake, and no more "just this once" with French fries or hush puppies. Right now it's all about little changes. Trying to go cold-turkey with healthy living was not working the past 2 months, as you all read every time I said "I was good for a day but then..." I'm still lacking in exercise, but that's next on my list of small changes. Since time's the issue I'll start small with that, running 2 miles instead of trying to go back to my normal 4/day immediately. The scale already showed 1 lb. down this morning, but as my official weigh-in isn't until Tuesday I'll wait until then to change my ticker.

Other than the food my vacation was SO good for me mentally. I haven't been home since I moved 16 months ago. I've seen my family, just not at home. It was very relaxing and mentally cleansing. I also went to my doc for the first time in 16 months b/c my mom took pity on my lack of health insurance and paid for me to go. We talked about the changes my body's been through since I saw her last, like losing 30 pounds - and also I'm going on the pill. I won't start taking it for a few more weeks but she said as long as I keep up the healthy eating and working out I shouldn't have to worry about gaining weight. I hope so, but that means I need to start working out again! Anyone here on Orthotrycyclin have experiences to share? (I feel like I'm asking the eternal question and I know it's been discussed already!)

Glad to be back and "see" you all again.
