New: Want to look good in the saddle again!
Hello,
Here's an introduction. I'm 31, 5'5" and 204. I've been overweight since high school, but it wasn't until after pregnancy that I really gained. I had a complicated pregnancy, a c-section and surgery 5 months later, and afraid my belly may never fully 'come back', but the rest of me can!
2 years ago I lost 30 lbs in 9 weeks on Atkins, but that is just not for me. And I'm now on medication for high BP, dr does not think Atkins is the way to be. And, of course, after going 'off,' I gained back right away....wow.
Anyway....I am a soda addict...need to get my mind OFF that and onto an occasional diet soda and water. That will be a huge start for me.
I am facing surgery in a week, that may put me on restriction as far as any intense exercise for 3 months, so in that time I imagine I could learn to, and be eating right. So the surgery put a damper on my plans...but it may also help motivate me more.
I have owned horses for over 20 years, and I HATE the way I look in the saddle.....that is a big motivator for me. Also getting harder to hoist myself up there.....and afraid if I keep going the way I am, I will be unable to get up without crawling on something!
Anyway, that's all about me....I have a horse event in April...that is a goal for me, to lose SOMETHING by April. My final goal is to be at 140, (I'm 204 now), but even if I could lose 30 lbs by April, I'd be thrilled! Hoping to talk to other people in the same boat....two of my biggest supporters, my husband and also my dearest friend, are both skinny, would love to not feel so 'out of place' standing next to either of them!
Thanks for reading,
Angie
