Default Stalled Weight Loss

Hey for all of you who have been doing this for a while, I am in the middle of week three and my weight loss has stalled What would you suggest, for getting it started again.

Have you lost your 23 pounds during this time? If you did then your body just may be adjusting to such a big loss. When I stalled on SBD last time I ate more for a few days of allowable food and then cut back again and my body released again. I didn't eat tons more just had a bit more protein and an extra whole grain serving and upped water and veggies......cutting back seemed to kick the weight loss back into place.

Hotharmony, plateaus like that are inevitable on any diet. They can be frustrating, I know, but they are okay and a normal thing. Try searching this forum for 'plateau' and you'll find several posts with lots of useful suggestions. You'll find that they are just like the remedies for hiccups...everyone has a different one and you just keep trying until you find something that works. The only thing that is for sure is that eventually, no matter how long the plateau lasts ( I had one for 6 weeks once! ), you will start losing again if you hang in there!

I Stalled In Weeks 3 & 4, Too. I Tend To Stall From Time To Time Even Now. Usually If I Increase The Amount Of Water And Vegetables It Will Start Up Again. I Also Probably Added Back Carbs Too Quickly Switching From P1 To P2. Don't Expect As Fast Weight Loss In P2.

You'll Be Fine. Just Get Plenty Of Water And Veggies.

Middle of week three puts you in the middle of week one on Phase 2 then, right? 'stalls' or even gaining back a few pounds as we transition over to phase 2 is completely normal...keep on trucken...give it another week or two and I bet you'll be shocked when it kicks back in.

Have you looked over the tips for meal plans in different phases http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56861 ? And there is a thread on some ideas for when your weight loss stalls http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=63320 . Keep in mind, though, that your weight loss in ph2 will not be nearly as spectacular as in ph1. Slow-n-steady does it!

I just got over one of those stalls. I was getting frustrated but just kept at it and eventually and it started dropping again. Hang in there. Maybe don't look at the scale so much either. Then you'll really be surprised when you do get on !
