Talking Funny S*IT

Okay, I was checking out ratemyprofessors.com to see what I had gotten myself (blindly) into this semester. I'm sure that everyone knows this...but the site gives college students a chance to "grade their professors, and in doing so, fore-warn other students as to the eccentricities of the professor so that they can make a more informed decision before registering for the class. Anyway's, there's a page on there which lists the top 20 funniest ratings/reviews given...and they're funny!

20 You can't cheat in her class because no one knows the answers.

19 His class was like milk, it was good for 2 weeks.

18 Houston, we have a problem. Space cadet of a teacher, isn't quite attached to earth.

17 I would have been better off using the tuition money to heat my apartment last winter.

16 Three of my friends got A's in his class and my friends are dumb.

15 Emotional scarring may fade away, but that big fat F on your transcript won't.

14 Evil computer science teaching robot who crushes humans for pleasure.

13 Miserable professor - I wish I could sum him up without foul language.

12 Instant amnesia walking into this class. I swear he breathes sleeping gas.

11 BORING! But I learned there are 137 tiles on the ceiling.

10 Not only is the book a better teacher, it also has a better personality.

9 Teaches well, invites questions and then insults you for 20 minutes.

8 This teacher was a firecracker in a pond of slithery tadpoles.

7 I learned how to hate a language I already know.

6 Very good course, because I only went to one class.

5 He will destroy you like an academic ninja.

4 Bring a pillow.

3 Your pillow will need a pillow.

2 If I was tested on her family, I would have gotten an A.

1 She hates you already.

Okay, I just copied and pasted, so I hope this comes out okay. I know, totally off-topic, but I know that there are quite a few college students in here...and ****, we all need a laugh anyway, eh? I have had many professors that have fit these reviews!

Is this board populated by law students?

*Is a legal assisting major planning on going to law school after this*

Hey chicks, this is really OT but with all the college talk it sort of fits in.

I've been thinking about starting my own business and (as a person with no washer/dryer) it really annoys me to have to sit there doing nothing waiting on my laundry when I could be so much more productive. So...I'm thinking about a soup/sandwich/salad shop with a bar, pools tables, wi-fi etc and a laundry all in one spot. There was a bar/laundry where I went to college and it was always absolutely packed.

Obviously, the prime clientele would be college students. I found a location about 4 blocks from campus. The only problem is that it doesn't have day time parking. Because it's downtown there are a couple of lots close by that open up after 5 when the building workers leave but otherwise it's just on-street metered parking (and not much of that). I have 2 thoughts: people without cars don't want to schlep their stuff 4 blocks and people with cars don't want to drive. On the other hand, I think it would mostly be an after 5 kind of crowd anyway.

Here are my questions: 1. Would you go to a place like that in the first place even if you had an on campus laundry available? 2. If so, would it be better to be closer to campus without good parking or go a little further out and have parking by the door?

Further out, parking by the door. Just play up the advertising all around campus and offer incentives for sororities/fraternities to visit...which will (if they are happy with what you have to offer) make your business well known throughout the campus! Good luck!
