There was a video feed of the "winner" with his owner - whose other dog won ugliest mixed breed - and his temperament matches his appearance. UGHHH.

aww I think thats mean. That poor dog. He's just old. I mean, we as people don't look the best as we age, but we wouldn't put ugly old grandma or grandpa in a contest like that, with their health problems, wrinkled age-potted skin and laugh at them.

I guess I'm sensitive. We had a dog that lived to be 18, and we loved him, but to others, he may not have been all that cute at 18.

I have a chinese crested dog...but he isn't the hairless kind. I think they are awesome, but some of them are pretty gnarly looking. Sweet little dogs though.

I agree with Lizzy. I don't think this owner neglects the dog (although she did say she does give it its special bath for skin problems for a couple weeks before the contest) but having contests like this certainly doesn't encourage people to groom their dog. And yes, the poor thing is old and has health problems. Really sad.
