Default WOW!! all I can say...

I borrowed this from another member on the jorge forum...

Im gonna print this out.. I thought it was quite helpful.

"Many of us have a tendency to look at our bad points, however once you start to accept yourself it will be easier to focus on the positive side more. To make it easier try writing a list of all the good things in what you've done or what you like about your physical self. Practice running these positives through your mind regularly, it may take time but its surprising what you can believe if it is said enough times - remember the past believe that you could look like the models if you obtain the right diet!

*if you don't reach a goal when you want, just focus on the fact that you will get there in time
*remember how far you've got not how far you need to go
*if you miss a workout one day don't worry just go back with more vigour to improve
*remind yourself that a worthwhile pay-off lies ahead in an improved you
*remember the exercise is improving your health and fitness and will help increase longevity
*remember exercise has many psychological benefits including renewed confidence and self esteem
*any type of action always drives motivation"

That is so true, and thinking like that is what has helped me to really learn to love and appreciate myself. The change was fairly quick for me, but that's not to say it will be for everyone. I really wanted to change the way I felt about myself and the way I treated myself. I dated a horrible guy for 2 years and let him treat me poorly. After I broke up with him I really seen how I lost all respect for myself and had come to believe everything bad he ever said about me. That was seven months ago and now I KNOW I deserve someone who makes me happy and that I am better off alone than with someone who treats me that bad. Then I worked on my self esteem and realized that the only person who's opinion matters when it comes to me is ME. I now believe that I am capable of more and I am a beautiful person. I am not here to lose weight to be a pretty person.... I am here to get healthy and to take care of myself.

Thanks!

I was doing really well, and got off track, because I got pg. I need to get into that mindset once again. I tell ya, there is nothing worse than having a bad day, and knowing when you wake up the next morning there will be no change. That thought always spurrs me to abstain from bad food.

Very good thread. Thank you.
