Congratulations thin!!! I love the name Brooke.

My brother's wife had a little boy - Jeremy Joel - 1 week ago. I got the first pics yesterday (going to try to put them in the pics thread). So I'm an auntie for the fourth time!

Good morning ladies, How are all of you today? I am feeling pretty positive right this minute. I stayed sooooo OP the last two days! I was throughly disgusted with myself for not losing two lbs in two weeks, so I buckled down and started doing this thing right, now to stay that way, oyi!

Thin, congrats on the new baby in the family. We have been expecting a new arrival in our family since last Friday, I don't think it wants to come out into our crazy world. Why should it It is nice and snug in a warm loving environment and gets fed on a regular basis, who could ask for more
No, my projects are not finished yet. I am getting really frustrated with all of the delays. They still have to come back and redo some caulking in my bathroom, would you believe it? This has been dragging on since June! (insert loud scream here)

Leanne, congrats on the baby in your family too. I am going to check out the pictures when I finish here.

Time to go and , I hate , but it must be done. Hello to eberyone else who has not posted on this thread yet. See Ya later....Iwillbe....Ruth

Happy Thursday to all! Food and exercise continue to be good (I'm working really hard to NOT fall off program anymore). I'm in a happy "thinner" mood this morning. I bought a bluejean jumper and top about three weeks ago, even though the jumper was too snug around the middle. I swore I would shrink into it. Well, I put it on last night and it fits! I have my thinner jumper on today and it feels great!!

I brought my recipe notebook to work today. I am going to try to find the time to scan my favorites so I can copy block them onto the recipe page. This way I don't have to retype them. Some I have actually gotten off of the WW forum here at 3FC, some from Weight Watchers and other places, and a few I came up with on my own. ***UPDATE*** I did post some of my favorites on the recipe thread.

Thin - BIG CONGRATS ON THE NEW BABY!!! Hope your NIL is doing better too.

Leanne - Congrats on your new family bundle too! He is adorable!! You've been doing great on your exercising! Keep going.

Ruth - It seems congrats are all the way around this morning! Congrats to you for staying OP. I know how hard that can be. Sorry your projects are becoming so frustrating. We had our bathroom remodeled last year and they were there for a week, and then had to keep coming back because stuff was breaking left and right and it was (in my opinion) hugely expensive to start with. Just take a big breath and focus on the finished result!

To everyone else, have a blessed Thursday and keep going! - Kim

Hi ladies,

Not much to say tonight. Sure has been gloomy and rainy. At least for a little bit the sun came out this afternoon and so did the humidity. Another little thunderstorm is rolling through at the moment. Weird weather for August.

I gave the dog a bone so we didn't go walking. Actually I'm glad I didn't as I would have been caught out in it!

Its about time to go to bed.

Did I tell you all that my BIL in the nursing home is making improvements? He has actually come around to understanding that he has to do the physical theraphy if he wants to go home and he's doing it. He's been hostile about it before. the theraphy is what he'd say before. But he's come around enough in his mind to know that he wants out of there. And he's using a walker and can go to the bathroom by himself now most of the time. The son is still an idiot and the head nurse told DH that the daughter is a real B**** - must be something you just can't recover from being.

Kim - Don't you just love those moments of getting into something that used to be too small? Congrats!! I'll have to check out your recipes. I got a "meal in the skillet" recipe from WW on Tuesday. We're going to try it tomorrow night and I'll post it if its good. Keep working hard!!

Thin - Such a pretty name! That's wonderful that mom and daughter are doing fine. Prayers still for your NIL.

Leanne - I saw your new nephew over on the pics page. Adorable!

Ruth - Keep feeling positive. You can do this!!

to everyone else!!

Goodnight!

Good Evening Ladies!

Well ladies, had a nice, boring day today. Stayed home with a sick kid...who wasn't really sick after he got a few more hours sleep. He did look just awful this morning though, white as a sheet, even his lips, and said he was sick to the stomach. So he went back to bed and so did I. Nice to have a day to sleep in.

Think food was good today. Eggs and toast for breakfast (7 pts.) Had tuna sandwiches for lunch (6 pts.) Had white chicken chili for dinner (10 pts...maybe.) Total would be 23 I guess. I just added them up right now. Didn't realize how much I had left over. Maybe that is the problem...that I'm not eating enough. Funny how that can make you not lose...but I'll reserve judgment on it until later. WI will be tomorrow. I'll see how it goes then.

Didn't get my walk today either. We did manage a trip to the Y last night though for the first time since last Wed. when DH was sick. Don't know how we managed to miss the other two days we should have gone. I hiked the mile to my car after work Wed. too. So Wed. was good exercise-wise. Not so much today though.

Donna: Welcome! This is a wonderful group. I'm quite sure that a good part of my loss so far has been due to the support I get here.

BarbPA: Hope your busy weekend went well. A girls nite out sounds like fun. I haven't done that in ages.

Terri: Glad to hear your BIL is improving. Hope his kids quit being such butt-heads, but that isn't likely to happen.

Thin and Leanne: Congrats on the new family members. Gosh, I love babies...but they always make me want another one myself...until they cry, then I'm sooo glad to give them back.

Kim: Yummy recipes! Thanks so much!

Ruth: Good for you staying OP! Keep up the good work!

Well, I think that's everyone! Time for me to get ready for bed. DH is at school until about 10:30 and if I'm in bed when he gets home he'll get in quick...otherwise I'll be up late too, because I don't really sleep too well without him. So - I'll check in after WI tomorrow.

Holy smokes!

We're have a early morning thunderboomer. That is sleeping kind of weather! Lucky me, I get to get out and commute to work in it. This should be good incentive to get my horse mess out of the garage so I can start parking inside again.

Nothing new since last night so I'm outta here. I think tonight is house cleaning and a exercise vid since its supposed to be raining again tonight.

Have a good OP day!!!

Good Morning Ladies!

ONE POUND DOWN! Seriously, not as good as I'd hoped, but better than I expected! I'll take it! I just hope it doesn't take another four weeks to lose the next one.

Tonight is supposed to be Y night , but you never can tell with DH these days. We are supposed to go Wed., Fri., and Sun. But it closes at 5 on Sun. and we always seem to run late, plus, DH has fighter practice on Sun. And our favorite TV shows are on Fri. and I hate to miss them, even if I can just watch them later thanks to the DVR. Still, missing Sun. is the problem. Maybe I can get DH to change to Wed. Sat. and Mon. But then Mon. is when we have SCA twice a month! Tues. and Thurs. DH has school. Doggone it...it shouldn't be this hard to find time to go the gym! Maybe we should leave it on Wed. and Fri. and just work the other day in whenever we can??? Really, when DH has fighter practice he doesn't really need to go, running about in 40lbs of armor, holding up a shield and swinging a big old wooden sword works up quite the sweat...maybe I should just go alone on Sundays. I just don't like going alone.

Well, since I posted late last night, I have nothing new to report...so I guess I'm done! Have a happy, healthy OP day ladies!

Good morning, ladies! Wow, it's really been quiet here for a few days. Hope everyone is well and happy. I also woke up to the most spectacular light show this morning. Had to make sure the babies went out before it started raining. Miss Prissy Princess doesn't like to get her feet wet and you have to bascially boot her off the deck to get her to go potty in the rain. Leo on the otherhand, will get out there in the rain and frolick and live it up. Of course, he's a wet, muddy mess when he's done! Still doing well OP and with my exercise. I think I've found my groove again (for the time being) and I hope and pray it holds.

Lilion - YEA FOR YOU!!! 60 pounds gone! What an awsome accomplishment. Keep going!

Terri - Yea, itsn't metro area traffic wonderful when it rains!! I swear people forget how to drive. You can be as careful as ever, but you always have to watch out for the other on the road! I know you're counting the days down until you get to the new bard - only five more to go!!

Hello all the way around to everyone else out there. Well, I'll get off and get back to work. I have WI tomorrow morning and feel thinner this week. I hate to get my hopes up and be disappointed when I step on the scale, so I'll just, wish me luck! Have a great Friday! - Kim

Smile Yea!

5lbs! Count them five whole lbs down! WOW, I couldn't believe my eyes when I weighed this morning...Wait a minute, I know that most of that was probably water, and oh yeah, my sister says my scales are about eight lbs off according to hers and her Drs. scale! Shoot, I don't care I am still going to celebrate that loss even if it is all water. I know I feel better. I drug out a lot of my favorite WW recipes from years ago and am making them one by one. Today we are having WW chili and a salad. Love that stuff!

How are the rest of you, and where are the rest of you hiding again this weekend???? I know I am not here everyday either. Some days I just can't seem to find a lot to say, now if you knew me personally you would find that hard to believe. My Mom used to ask me to be quiet for awhile and give her ears a rest.

Hope all of you are enjoying your weekend. We are expecting some weather from the hurricane that hit Fl. I just hope it is not as much as we got the last couple of years. I am so happy we sold our property down there when we did. I am such a chicken when it comes to the bad weather. I do hope that any of you living down there are all right.

See Ya later....Iwillbe...Ruth

Hi ladies,

I'm busy cleaning house and moving horses this weekend. I'm free at last! We loaded our horses up in front of James and Cheri and just drove off without a look back. They had moved everyone elses horses out of the mud lots but ours. It was beyond disgusting what they had endured this week. But they are free at last!

Back to housecleaning. My brother and his fiance are coming tonight and we're going out to our monthly dinner out.

Ohhh, DH and I were invited out last night to a "pub" by one of the barn girls parents. They are around our age. Not too far from the horses and our house. They had a live band. OMG, it was so much fun and SOOOOOOO our speed. A hole in the wall with a bunch of old farts our ages. Drinking, eating and dancing to the band. A little Jimmy Buffet. A little CCR. A little Ike and Tina. I even got up an danced with one of the mom's! We'll being doing that again on a Friday night.

Okay, now I'm back to housecleaning.

Toodles!

Whew, slow weekend on the board! Where is everyone? I hope you're out enjoying sunshine and fun!! Well, WI didn't go as well as I had hoped. I only lost a pound. I know, I'll take the pound with a smile, but I really felt like I had lost more, and I worked SO hard last week staying strictly OP and exercised my off. I even did my three miles one night in the misting rain, and another in the hot humidity, so I was rather disappointed and bummed out that it didn't show more. But, I'll be thankful for the loss and stop whinning and move on!!

Terri - Now you, hubby and the horses can throw a big party and celebrate!!! I know you and the horses will be happier! That is pretty crappy of them to leave only your poor horses in mud stalls. They are obviously petty and spiteful people. But that's okay, because you can now "ride into the sunset" and leave them "trailing in the dust." (Okay, I'll stop wtih the corny lines!!)

Ruth - YEA FOR YOU!!! Huge congrats on those five pounds. Keep going!!

Okay, that covers everyone in the boards since my last post. Going to sit down and make out a menu for next week and go to the dreaded grocery store! Everyone have a great weekend! - Kim

I just have a few minutes to check in. I don't reember how much I've told you, but my mother is dying. We spent all weekend last weekend in the ER (All day Saturday night, home for a terrible night, back to the ER all day Sunday) They admitted her Sunday night. Just before they admitted her they gave her a very mild sedative and she went to sleep. She has not waken up. She has opened her eyes a few times, but she can not focus, we know she does not see or know us,. but we are keeping a vigil at her bedside. The MRI showed that her brain is completely infected with the cancer and it has even infiltrated the lining of the brain, and she has tumor under the skin on her scalp. We turned her over to hospce on Tuesday, and yesterday we went to the funeral home and made arrangements. Now we are just waiting.

She has had a very full life and even after the dx of Cancer she did not let that slow her down. The day before we had to take her to the hospital (Friday) she spent the day with her friends from church playing domonio's.

All of that said, we still don't want to let go of her, but at this point in time it is out of our hands. Keep us in your thoughts and your prayers.
