Default I need the straight and narrow bad!

You all know that I met my mini goal of 10 pounds. Well I am a scale ho, bad, bad, bad, I know. Acording to it I have almost gained 2 pounds! How dissapointing. But it is all my fault to say the least. I am not following it to a "t" like I should be. I have a mini taste of something I should not have. I wish I had someone here to slap my had and tell me no. I want to loose 10 more pounds in 2 weeks. My dh, is away for work and it would be so awesome to loose 10 more pounds and be 20 pounds less all together! I know I can do it. I just need major dedication and determination. And keep reminding myself that skinny will taste a whole lot better than a taste of Zuccini muffin! Thanks for reading my vent......

Darlin' Don't set yourself up for failure... 10 more pounds in 2 weeks is real ambitious! And you already know all those mini tastes add up in the calorie department for sure! Try to have healthy things handy to grab .. like celery or nuts.. You'll get there hon... takes time to retrain the brain...! and body!

That would be an unhealthy rate of loss - 2 pounds a week is safe. Please check out the sticky in here about being tempted to cheat. Remember, this is a lifestyle plan, not a quick weightloss one!

Emily, those numbers (10 pounds in 2 weeks)are just that, numbers. Wouldn't you rather tell your husband that you are feeling more healthy than ever and that you've found a way of eating that you can stick to for life? As Ruth and Schatzi pointed out, 10 pounds in 2 weeks is not only difficult, but to do it on top of what you've already lost, you're definitely going to lose muscle, which you never want to do. It's not a good plan, hon.

Instead, set goals for eating healthy and, especially, for exercising. Work on strength training to build your muscles (you'll find lots of tips in the "Ladies Who Lift" section here on 3FC) and cardio to burn fat and increase cardiovascular endurance. Not only does this allow you to eat a bit more calorie-wise, but it will help your weight loss and your appearance tremendously! When you replace fat with muscle, you look so much more lean and tight!

The cheating can be hard to stop. Is it a craving or are you just reaching for things because that's a habit that's hard to break? If it's a craving, hop back on P1 for a short time to get them under control. If you are simply reaching for things try getting them out of the house and giving yourself something else to do. Go for a walk, have a bubble bath, call a friend (now you're busy and so is your mouth!) drink a large glass of water, chew SF gum, eat a serving of protein and veggies if you are really hungry...homemade 3 Bean Salad is a great way to do this. We've all been there, hun, and know you can beat this.
