Smile TGIF- August 19

Good Morning Chicks - its Friday at last.

What does everyone have planned for the weekend?

My plans are all non food related this weekend, mostly pottering around the house doing chores and catching up on those jobs that need to be done before the Autumn weather sets in.

I hope everyone is doing well, have a great day on the Beach all of you!

Rough coupla eating days on the beach for me....... man, am I a stress eater.

We are off to Ohio today, so I won't be pecking in until Monday. Have a super weekend!!

BTW, Baby Meg had her 2 month check up yesterday. She is up to a whopping 9 pounds, 5 ounces. Everything looked good with the exception of a bit of baby eczema on her cheeks. Four immunizations later.......

Ooooh NuThin' could Beeee Finer than to Beeee in CAROLinER in the Mo-OR-OR-NING!!NuThin could Beeee SweeTer than to BEE a Senoriter in the MO-Or_or-NING! (OK, I made that second line up..don't know the words... )
Good Morning Artemis..or I guess it's mid day for ya matey..Autumn! GADZOOKS, already? Well actually after this heat bath summer, chrisp days and cool nights will be most welcomed!
Kiko So good to hear that Meagan continues to grow and thrive... Have Fun in HIDEEYHO OHIO!!
Ooh How I missed my Chubby Chums! How have you all been doing?
Me:Phase 3 of the move is completed! Furniture arrives today.. I got brandy new LG Turbo charged, 350 with over head cam Washer and Dryer.. with all the bells and whistles delivered yesterday..(How sad to be soooo happy over household appliances ). We left our old place quite spiffy.. and now I have to do my magic on our new nest to get it comfy cozy...Casey and Darby love their big fenced in yard - and I am enjoying my morning solitude waiting for the HUGICAL butterflies to visit me at my window...
The Altar to the Weight Gods is still packed away..but my size 16 jean shorts are getting to by quite swimmy around my waist.. I've been , let's say partially on the beach, but seems I'm more on the poop-away-the- pounds diet.. I'm sure I dropped some poundage...but alas, I still look like a weeble..

So come have some coffee with me and catch me up on your day~

Good morning beach chicks

Artemis~Thanks for starting us up!

Kiko~I'm sp happy to hear that your little one is gaining and healthy. Enjoy Ohio!

Schatzi~You sound thrilled to be in the South (even with all this rain and humidity ).Hang in there, it will be cooling down soon. You must be so excited to get your furniture today and I completely understand your excitment over a new appliance.

Ruth~How's the potting going? How's Harry?

Ellis~Love ya, gal.

Me~I'm getting over my funk from putting my dog to sleep last week. My other Yorkie, Shelby, still mopes around looking for her sister. My new car should be arriving next week (so they say). My dad finally came to his senses and changed his Power of Attorney from my sister (don't get me started...) to me. I now a sense of peace knowing that his health and estate will be taken care of properly, when the time comes.
Got a hair appt this morning~~Taco Bake for dinner~~that about sums it up.

Good morning, Chicklets~~

Got to the nursing home this morning just as one of the residents croaked. Not a good way to start out the day.

I'm meeting with Miss Mary this afternoon. Got about 1/3 of a chapter written this week. I think I have mid-book sag. I'm hoping a brainstorming session will help me rev it up a bit.

Schatzi, glad you're getting settled in your new digs. I can completely relate to getting all excited over new appliances. I've been drooling over a Fisher & Paykel washer for years...and wouldn't you know my SISTER gets one! I got to use it while visiting her in Oregon, now I want one even more.

Sil, give Shelby a hug and a pet from me.

Kiko, have a great visit to Ohio!

Artemis, you and I have the same agenda this weekend...chores. Ain't it fun--NOT!

Oh, would you gals just hate me if I stepped off the Beach for a couple weeks? I'm not really going anywhere, but I need to do a "detox". I think my gallbladder is acting up and I want to try and liver/gallbladder cleanse and it's quite a bit more stringent than even Phase I of SBD. I want to try this before I go to the doc and have him tell me my gallbladder needs to go. And silly me, I'm one of these people that think if God gave you an organ there must have been a REASON for it!! And I want to keep it for as long as possible.

Have a great day on the Beach everyone!

Morning chicks I actually have a few minutes to really post this morning.
It is beautiful and sunny here but wow I need to remember to close my windows at night. BRRRRRRR in the mornings.

Artemis- Thanks for starting us up this morning and have a fun week end with your chores. Me I am trying to get mine done today as I have a busy week-end.

Kiko- Hang on to that beach chair babe. Glad to hear the baby is doing fine and hope you have a great week end at your sisters.

Schatzi- I don't think I know anyone who is happier than you. I can actually see you sitting typing and singing your heart out. Amazing how a new washer can make our day. Have a great weekend.

2BFIT1- So sorry to hear about your dog. Big hugs to you and Shelby. And congrats on the new car.

Mamacita- so your day started out so crappy. As for stepping off the beach for a bit, go right ahead but stay here with us. And I agree with you about keeping the organs God gave us. Good luck with the detox.

Me- The girls are coming home today I have to work tonight and tomorrow then I am off to a family reunion for my mom's side of the family. I do have sunday off so I think I will laze around. Like that will happen. I am sure I will have lots of catching up to do, and get organized for Monday. I have a new little guy starting. That's always fun trying to see how he fits in with the others. Well I must dash as one of the kids is on his knees begging for the puter so he can play rollercoaster. Talk to ya all soon.

Wow, lots of Friday Morning Insanity today!

We've got company coming for the weekend, so I will be doing a quick laundry/house cleaning tonight. We've got all kinds of groceries already, so we're set in that department.

I'll stop by to check in on you all later!

Whaddaya mean INSANITY? I am dashing through as well as I have a meeting at H's nursing home and am not dressed yet! Maybe I'll just go in my robe - they are used to that! It's not a problem meeting, just a routine - as if I wouldn't have already *****ed if there were problems.
I'll pop back in later.

Good Morning Chickie-babies!

Man! You folks sure get up early!

Artemis: My plans are your plans. I have a lot of catching up to do on the laundry and cleaning. I hope to be on top of things before the end of the weekend! We'll have fun together!

Kiko: Hang in there! Maybe the stress will be less (I'm a poet!) while you are in Ohio? Happy to hear that Meg is doing well!

Schatzi: New Appliances! I'm sooooo jealous. I'm waiting for my dryer to die so that I can replace it, but until then I will just have to listen to the thing. Nothing makes doing laundry more fun(?) than a new washer and dryer!

2BFIT1: Losing a friend can be very hard. I hope both you and Shelby will soon be contented with warm memories. Been there/done that with the parents estate. Fortunately, my sister and I worked well together. It's a lot of work, but worth the effort!

Mamacita: I'm pretty sure that the gall bladder did have a function at one time, although I am not sure what it did. I agree, if we've got it, there must be a reason. May you be together for many happy years to come!

We've got back to school shopping to do this weekend, a baseball game to attend, mini-golf and I have the usual chores. I hope we can get everything done!

Happy and Safe Weekend to you All!

Morning all! So, week 1 on Phase 1 went well. I did show a loss even with the crazy TOM. A vendor brought in donuts and I am pretending that they don't exist...I just hope no one asks me to get into the filing cabinets (donuts on top)!!!

Planning on going out with my boyfriend for dinner on Saturday. He is taking me to a seafood restaurant. Otherwise I am going to work out and go to my knitting group on Saturday. I love those girls!!

Everyone, have a fabulous weekend!

Morning girls. You all sound so busy!! I get off from work @ 12 today, and told the kids we would go to the pool...wake up and it is pouring down rain...not good. Have a dentist appt today at 4:30...hate to go to the dentist...they hurt me. Did I tell you all that I got all of my hair cut off last weekend?? I had long naturally curly hair, and just decided, I needed a new do to go with my ever changing body...so I cut it off..really short...everyone says I look so young...anyway..My weekend is pretty uneventful except I have to do 2 haircuts & highlights tomorrow morning...always love that extra money!! and of course to stay OP....hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Good morning, everyone! I've got lots going on as usual. Today I am meeting an old friend for lunch. She's a mom of 3 boys (including a nursing 6 month old) and will be a new Wolf den leader. I've got lots of information I am bringing her and hope I can help her get off to a good start.

Tonight I work from home but it should just be for a couple of hours so I'm hoping for an okay amount of sleep. My den leader is picking me up at 8:15 tomorrow morning. We are spending the entire morning in an orientation session for the 6 days of training we will be taking at the end of Sept/beginning of Oct. Sunday will be church, an early 3 hours at the animal shelter and then a Cub Scout planning meeting for School Night for Scouting. And somewhere in there I need to at least plan meals and grocery shop. One cat needs shots and the car needs an oil change but that will just have to wait until next weekend. I'm also going to have to miss PowerFlex this weekend but there is no helping for that.

Kiko - Good news on Meg gaining weight. Have fun on your trip!
Schatzi - glad to hear you are getting settled. Sounds like a nice place.
2BFit1 - What kind of car did you get? I'm thinking of ordering a Toyota Prius. I hate these gasoline prices!
Mamacita - Do whatever you need to do for your health but keep hanging around.
Barb1037 - sounds like a busy weekend for you too.
healthy4Good - Be careful at the seafood restaurant. I've found some have very little choices for good vegetables (and then some are great). Watch out for any sauces that are used on the seafood. It's tough to eat out on phase 1.
kyemom - I love short hair. Maybe the rain will clear up and you can get to the pool.
Hi, Artemis, Little Chick, Jen415, Ruth!

Ugh - bad start to my day. I slept badly and so overslept and had to rush through brekky to get DH to station on time. Then DS got impatient when I didn't remove his breakfast dishes the second he finished eating, and made a mess in complaint. Then he threw a fit when I went to change and dress him. So I'm grouchy.

On the plus side (no pun intended), my stretch denim leggings that were a little snug now fit perfectly. Lost 2lbs when I weighed last night.

Schatzi - glad to see you back! I missed your posts. I know what you mean - I'm afraid I'm horrifically domestic and get quite happy over new appliances, large or small. Right now our fridge is misbehaving, which makes me sad. DH says it CAN'T be broken yet, it's only 7 years old (I managed to smother my laughter)! Enjoy your flutterbyes!

Chickies, have a great day, and I'll come back when I'm all smiley again.

Geepers, I can't get in here early enough any more! I just got back from breakfast with mom, and now my DH is hanging over my shoulder (he's home for lunch), and is driving me CRAZY with his chitter chatter!!
I'll be back later when it's QUIET in here!
