Default Exercise and SBD

I'm just rejoining SBD. I tried it a few months ago and lost 7 pounds without exercising. I am trying it again with exercise. Did anyone have bigger losses working out while on SBD?

Hey fattygirl, you and I have similar goals! I can't speak for anybody else, but I know that exercise REALLY helps your loss. You'll notice a difference on the scale and on your body. Just make sure that you're rehydrating because your 64 oz of water a day is not including if you exercise. Whatever you sweat out, you need to make sure you replace.

(And, if you drink 16 oz of water an hour before you work out, you'll be less thirsty and less tired!)

That's all I know.

Thanks!! We do have similar goals. I've been playing around with the same 5 pounds for months now. But i'm going on vacation at the end of the month and I have a personal trainer now, so I figured I better get the eating on track. What are you doing for exercising? I've been doing 5-6 times per week since july 25th, but unfortunately I didn't go back to SBD until yesterday LOL

Well, I've been doing a lot of walking and swimming, plus I do a little yoga, some pilates, and calisthenics. Sometimes I do a little dance, just to mix it up a bit.

I've kind of let it go for the last month or so, but was doing it religiously earlier this summer. Seems like I'm running out of time in the day! This evening I'm going to go hiking for awhile, so I guess that counts for something.

Good luck to you in your efforts. I haven't seen 135 in 5 years at least, so I'm hoping to get to 130 soon. I usually get stuck at 137. We'll see what happens! Take care!

Hi there. Yes, exercise I am noticing does make quite a difference! Last time I was on the beach I did Leslie Sansone's Walk Away The Pounds videos 5 to 6 days a week, for 30 minutes to an hour a day! I lost over 30 pounds in about 6 months or so.

This time around I have not been able to exercise because my back went out! And I have gained weight instead of lost!!! Depressing! But I am not giving up yet! I am going to oncorperate (sp?) other ideas from other diets/exercise plans (curves, ww, sbd, and so on) this time and see how it helps. My metabolism is terrible and I am trying about anything now.

I've been working with a trainer for about 3 weeks now and all we do is circuit training/weightlifting. I'll warm up on the treadmill or elliptical for about 10 minutes though. On my off days I use the Firm BBS3 tapes, the one with the incline box. I didn't lose any weight the first two weeks b/c I was so hungry I was way more than I usually do. But I have toned up tremendously.

I try to exersize 4 times a week. If I did it more I think that would be more productive. I usually do the eliptical for 30 min and then pull ups on a weight machine, an ab machine and a squat machine for about 15 min. total. I gotta get firm and I figure it's got to help! LOL

I don't know how exercise affect SB results, but I got tons of results when I started working out. I tend to work out 6 days a week. I started SB on Monday and was really tired on Tuesday so I didn't work out. I have been doing low intensity stuff this week (walked 4 miles on Monday, rollerbladed 7 miles yesterday) so I don't over eat this week. A mix of cardio and weight training will see the most results.

Good luck!
