Survived the dentist, but the left side of my face is sore (filling between 2 molars needed to be replaced, so there were metal clamps and cranks invilved to separate the teeth for drilling), so the scrambled eggs were nice and soft for breakfast today

Today:
  • scrambled eggs and 2 sausage patties
  • fruit (strawberries, peaches, grapes, and pineapple)
  • ham salad (ham, ff mayo, relish, mustard) and pineapple
about 1300 calories

We've had a surfeit of zucchini from our garden, and the zucchini pancakes are the only way Hunter will eat them so far (I'm thinking of trying a scalloped zucchini recipe, or maybe a zucchini souffle, to see if he'll like those, too). Here's a recipe. I use the one from Joy of Cooking, but it's very similar. I don't always use feta cheese. Sometimes just cottage cheese. Sometimes no cheese at all. Just make sure to do the salting/squeezing bit or the batter gets really wet.

Anyway, the last two days we've been travelling and on vacation, so my calories were way high. Still tried to get my five servings of veggies/fruits, and to focus around protein, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

MONDAY

Breakfast:

2 glasses red wine

Snacks:

Drinks:

water

Calories:
about 2500

Exercise:

TUESDAY

Breakfast:
coffee w/skim milk
2 eggs
frozen-style waffle w/syrup
1/2 cup of yogurt
1/2 an apple

Thanks for the recipe, Synger. They sound 'lish.
Hope your mouth stops hurting soon, Jill.

I'm really just popping in to 'fess up and slink out again because I went back to my old habit of eating away emotions today. I had the plumber in and that sent my anxiety through the roof because I can't bear strangers in the house. So, I spent much of the afternoon scrubbing and disinfecting and eating ribs, stuffed potato, and onion rings. And all that after I'd had my breakfast and lunch. No exercise and barely any water, just lots of coffee and diet pop.

I'm trying not to beat myself up too much, but treating myself with kindness is still quite new to me, and frankly, I feel pretty disgusted with my lack of control.

I have to find a way to make myself more positive for tomorrow. Right now I'm talking the talk to myself. We'll see if that works....
