This is an email I got. I checked it out on the hoaxbusters, and it is true..please read this:

It is very scary....We didn't have this much easy access to drugs when we were kids.

I usually treat this kind of thing as an Urban Legend - like the alligators in the NY sewer system - but checked it out. Apparently it is true. Here's the source.

In Australia it is called chroming... where streetkids and others inhle the propellant from spray cans.. they spray into a plastic bottle which makes the paint stick to the sides - just leaving the gases.... it became popular with street children as it reduces their hunger... very sad indeed!

I had two friends who were my age...and died while we were in high school together...they were using the fumes from hairspray to "get high"...this was 32 years ago....
I couldn't fanthom then...and still can't now...that this happend...it is like a painful recollection reading this thread...
I am heavy with sorrow for this family and pray that their hearts will feel a healing of sorts with spreading the information to other parents to help prevent needless deaths!
These parents are true heros!!
