Question Thawing 101-warning dumb question alert

sorry about this .

Ok I want to have Taco Bake for dinner - its 4pm here. I cook a batch then portion it off and freeze it in single serving sizes.

Here is the dumb question. Do I need to defrost it first, or can I just pop it into the oven frozen?

I've defrosted it in the microwave each time before, but I found it became very dry.

Thanks (and yes I am embarassed to have such a lack of cooking skills)

Remember no question is dumb on here. I have tried heating it both ways and have found that regardless of how I cook it after it has been frozen it comes out a little bit dry.

The best way, so far, that I have found is to just microwave it from frozen don't defrost it. I make sure it is covered either tightly with plastic wrap or leaving the lid of whatever microwave dish I am using just barely popped open so that it won't explode. This way the condensation will stay in the dish and keep it more moist. I usually do it for 3 mintues and then stir it and do it for another 2 minutes. Will depend on your microwave on how long to heat it.

Hope this helps.
