Still nothing for me. Curses! A pox upon my chemo-killed metabolism!!
Oh, did that sound negative? Ok, Sarah..... Positive energy, positive energy..... *cleansing breath* Aahhhhhh...... I am loving my metabolism. I am loving metabolism. I am loving my metabolism.
Aww....THANK YOU, Linda! You're a real sweetheart. I did get some comfort from my oncologist last Thursday, when we met for the first time since the end of chemo. She said that it was amazing that I even lost 4 pounds, because everybody always GAINS afterwards! I told her I just had an independent spirit, because I did all my gaining DURING chemo -- and she said they did that too! I just have to keep plugging away, I guess. I put together an awesome -- albeit ambitious -- workout schedule for August.....so we shall see! If I need to dial it back, I will, but I think I should be able to pull it off, since I can stagger it during the day. When I go back to work 9/6, I'll start a different routine, but it will still involve working out 6 days a week.
Something's bound to happen eventually.
Thank you again, Linda. You have no idea how much the encouragement I get here keeps me going. I really, really appreciate it.
And I think I'm going to start calling Howie "Big Daddy" now after hearing his authoritarian tone at the start of this thread!
Maintaining this week, after going carb-crazy last week while I was sick. Somehow, half a loaf of wheat bread, or mashed potatoes and tomato soup help me sleep even when my coughing is driving Hunter to sleep on the couch. But at least I didn't gain. *laughs*
Sarah--Just remember that your scale is no longer going up. I'm sure that when your scale decides to go down it's probably going to jump like 7 pounds or so. You are doing so well and are so determined.
I also wrote in last weeks tread I'll just and copy what I wrote here.
Well after 6 days of working out and eating on plan.
I GAINED 1lbs!!!! I'm not sure what is going on.
I'm hoping that next Monday my weight loss will show.
To be honest I was expecting to lose at least water weight. Since I have been off plan for awhile....
synger - Great job on maintaining. I know sometimes when I sick I can go either way eat alot or next to nothing.
newfiedarling - Congrats on hitting the 20lbs mark!
krysidaisy - congrats on the loss.
Sarah - Just thinking about what you have planned for your workout makes me break a sweat! Your going to kick it! We all know that those fat cells of yours are hugging one another but their grip is only so strong then *Poof* (well more like huff and puff) they'll be on their way out! I know you can do it! Your one determined chickie!
I lost 4.6 pounds this week and got a scolding by my WW leader because she thinks I'm losing too fast - but my doctor is fine with it and so am I. People sometimes can't understand that I'm not losing it as fast as I gained it (100 lbs between January and the beginning of July!). And each week that goes by brings me closer to slowing down to a more normal weekly weight loss.
Sarah! I was going to say it, but you beat me to it. Naw, I'm going to say it anyway! You are doing wonderful and it is a true testiment to your determination that you are able to maintain right now, much less lose! Keep up the good work!
Mez, I know it can be a little discouraging to work so hard only to face a small gain, but you hang in there and keep OP and I'm positive that you will see a good loss next week!
And to everyone else - GREAT JOB! You are all so motivating!
