Default What should I sneak into the movie theatre tonight?

DH and I are going to the movies tonight after we work out. No popcorn, no nachos... what's a girl to do???? I love going to the movies, but I don't know if I can take the smell of nachos, popcorn, and candy the whole time.

(I'm in P1)

Eat dinner before you go...you will be so full that you won't want a snack. It worked for me this past weekend.

Can you bring some string cheese in your bag? It is a quiet thing to eat, and easy to open, and not entirely unsatisfying when smelling nachos and popcorn.

I always bring some gum myself.

Agree also that you need to have dinner before you go. I have used Nuts, bite size Favorite Raw Veggie with a little bit of dip (sounds strange but it really works for me), Roasted Chickpeas, the next time we go I am going to try taking some cheese crisps and/or strawberries. You could have the cheese crisps right now but not the strawberries.

What movie are you going to go see?

Thanks!!! I think I'll try the chickpeas and possibly try to make some cheese crisps. I've never tried either. My cravings usually involve texture and those seem to be the closest I'm going to get to what I really want. LOL!

It's my hubby's turn to pick the movie - so Four Brothers it is. It doesn't look like my kind of movie (I like artsy foreign films or period dramas, seeing as I'm a big ol' nerd) but it might be ok. We'll see.

luv, you might try soy nuts. Crunchy and good, and you don't have to limit them as much as real nuts (they are actually beans).

Thanks. I forgot about soy nuts. I have read that soy is bad for those with thyroid disease. Strange, I know. Soy, the wonder food, and I'm not supposed to have it.

BTW, not that y'all care; but I just realized Four Brothers is not out yet. I think I might be dragged to Hustle and Flow. Help! LOL!!!

I saw "Must Love Dogs" and it is a great chick flick!!! Really really good!!
I brought a portion of crackers (since I am on phase 2) and a string cheese! It was great and the smell of the popcorn didn't get to me as bad!!!

I went to see Charlies and Chocolate Factory. Ate before I went and didn't take any snacks with me to the movies. I feel that I've broken a very bad habit! Yeah! And watching the little fat boy fall into the chocolate river really took away any cravings I might have had from watching the movie

Last time I went to a movie and took soy nuts and hated them so much, it left a bad taste in my mouth and I didn't want to eat for the rest of the day!

If you like popcorn, take something that you can "pop" into your mouth like cheese cubes or nuts.

If you like nachos, then veggies and dip would do the trick.

I too eat before going and drink Diet Coke as it's my treat. I will also pop my own corn if I think I can get it in. I put it in a sandwich baggie as to limit my intake...

I sneak in Pistachios. They're salty like popcorn and it takes a while to snap them open so I can drag out the 30 I'm allowed through the movie.
