Ok, so I went exploring on the internet and looked at some other weight loss boards besides 3FC... No, no, I didn't cheat on any of you I just was bored and didn't want to go to the M&M jar.

Anyway, turns out. I hate all the other boards. I love you guys too much. LOL. I just had to share.

LOL - it's not a jar per se. It's a bag with about a million rubber bands around it at the bottom of my desk drawer. They're the special dark chocolate peanut ones... I know, it's madness but if I get the rubber bands off, get out four and put the rubber bands back on....

Whew! Alright, since you said there are a MILLION rubber bands around it, and it's at the BOTTOM of your desk drawer..... They sound lovely, by the way! Thanks a whole **** of a lot for the reminder that I literally ache for chocolate. Ache and quiver.

Yep, quivering now.....you're a bad, bad woman, Jessica. And here I thought you were my friend.

Well...Jessica, I seriously have to agree!

I haven't seen ALL the other boards, but I've seen a few and posted on one or two and they were just awful compared to our little home.
I found a lot of "Calories in calories out" and "you just have to do it" kinds of statements...they seemed kind-of *****y and competitive..nothing like here.

I've honestly never seen anything like this...and *especially* our little group here.
The love and support is something I I haven't seen anywhere else.
To have a group of people who truly understand the magnitude of the challenge (emotionally and physically) has become as important to me in my journey as eating well and drinking lots of water.

I just love you guys so much, really.

And Jessica...thanks an extra lot for the chocolate description!!!
I have a dark Toblerone (the huge one) and a bottle of Bailey's in the kitchen given to me by my friends' friend who was visiting from England. I love these things...and it's going to be VERY difficult to resist. I figure I'd best not open them at all or I'm going to regret it deeply!!!!
PLEASE send me your strength!!!

There isn't anywhere else like 3FC!!!

I had a craving for chocolate the other day so I bought a small bar, went to my office with it, went to two colleagues and said very seriously "I know you're very busy but there is a project I need your help on, it's a new work strategy and it's very important! they looked at me with that gaze of resignation that my powers are irresistable. I produced said chocolate bar, grinned and said "project calorie minimisation!!!" and proceeded to divide it in 3!!! 100 calories each instead of 300!!!!

I went to PutDownTheDonut.com, but found it too utilitarian. But amused HIGHLY by the spammer they had who posted anything but diet & exercise advice.

When I was doing WeightWatchers last year I used to visit the WW UK board - Oh my God! You would not believe the *****iness and bullying and arguing that went on there! If newbies posted with a question it would rarely be answered 'because it's been asked so many times before', and there were people there who had actually split into gangs and would argue with eachother constantly! I couldn't believe it!

My partner helped me to find 3FC and I've never looked back!

Love Amanda x

I know what you mean about how some boards treat newbies. I was on a WIFI board and they were just down right nasty to people who would not search and find there answer that way. They were never nasty to me because I do search for my answers because I find it easier but I just had to tell them where they could put there board because of the way they treated people.

From what I've seen, no other site can even compare. This place is absolutely the best! And I'm so thankful that it was recommended to me when it was because I don't think I would have made it without all of you. 3fc is da bomb!

I checked out a couple of places before finding this one. I lurked without posting to them and was dismayed to see the glee people showed when a member was struggling--not unlike that "friend" who appears to be on your side, but really delights in seeing you stumble so they can feel superior. I've never seen a hint of that kind of nastiness here.

I love this place. It's unique and full of beautiful people--both inside and out.

Thumbs up

Browsed to some other sites, and quite frankly this one is the best. Another site i visit once in awile is the menshealth magazine weight loss section.

Kind of good, but it focuses too much on the techincal aspects of loosing weight, like, how many push ups to burn 1000 calories, etc. Focusing on what<s going on in our minds is as important as technical issues and the 3FC really does help...
