Talking Introductions

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum so allow me to introduce myself. My name is Diane. I am 33 years old, am married to a wonderful, caring and supportive man (Tom) and together we have two beautiful daughters (Melanie, 8 and Victoria, 2).

I have been doing WW for about two months and have, so far, lost 25 pounds. I am feeling incredibly optimistic, energetic and hopeful.

I was referred to this website by my WW leader and thought I would check it out. Everyone else in my WW group is trying to lose 10 or 20 pounds. I'm the only one there with such a long way to go so I was very happy to see this board.

I have been reading some of your posts and find them to be very positive and supportive. This is obviously a wonderful place to be.

It's late now and I need to go to bed because the baby will probably wake up soon (she's been sick with the flu the past couple of days) but I will definitely be back to read, post and get to know you all a little better.

Thanks for being there!

Hi Diane,
Welcome to the group!!!! Your right you have found the right place to be!!! We are all going through the same things as you!! Maybe you could try a different meeting day or time, so that you feel the meeting is more beneficial to you. It is so great to feel exited and energized!!! I just restarted ww again, and am in the same energized mode you are. Do you exercise?? Most of my exercise, is chasing after my family, cleaning the house and yard, and walking, walking, walking. Well hope to talk with you soon!!!!

WELCOME DIANE

You have discovered a gem! I started visiting this site about 6 months ago and boy when you need that little extra support or pat on the back, or just someone to vent to, this is the place to find all that and MORE!

I'm 44, with a husband and 3 kids (21,19,16) all still at home. I joined WW on Sept 12, 2000 and am thrilled to report that I just reached my 100 lb goal, 100.6 actually. I still have another 150 or so to go, (I'm almost halfway there )

My youngest daughter got me to join with her, so I started for her but I'm in this now for me! She has lost almost 25 pounds and wants to talk another 15 off.

The people here are all great you will be hooked in no time

It's been nice talking to you, check out some of the other threads here, many of us post under other sections as well. Keep up the great work, I know you can reach your goal!

Have a great OP day!

Thanks for welcoming me to the boards.

I will be coming back regularly.

There are so many strings on these boards it's hard to keep track. How do people get little pictures and icons below their names in the margin? How do you keep track of everybody?

I find everyone here to be so incredibly inspiring!!!

I don't know about the rest of you but I like to sit at my computer late at night, when everyone else is asleep, and browse through and read these posts. I try to remember all the names and some details about what people are writing - but I can't seem to keep any of it straight! Hopefully I will get used to it and get to know all of you a little better.

I had a great day OP today. My boss went out this afternoon and bought ice cream for everyone in the office to celebrate the return of the sun (we've had a lot of rain lately in Ottawa) and I thanked him for the offer but graciously declined to partake. I was so proud of myself!!!

I'm hoping to lose three pounds this week. So far I've been averaging 2.5 per week. I can't wait to see the scale go below 3##!!!!! I can't remember what that felt like!?!?!?

Well, I guess it's time to go to bed now - my husband is probably already asleep!

I'll be looking for you again tomorrow. Sleep tight!

Diane, great job with the ice cream!!!! That is always my downfall!!! Hubby is being a pain about it lately too, took everybody out twice this week for icecream!!!! I have a hard enough not going myself to buy it either at a store for a ice cream stand, but when he brings us i usually by, gotta get him to stop somehow!!!!!!!!!!
Oh and to do some fun stoff in the margin, at the top of this or any other page it should say profile, click that and check out all your options, i think the picture is called an avatar. I dont have one, cause i havent found one that i love anywhere. Have fun!!!
I am a night owl too, so you can add me to your online buddy list, by clicking buddy list on my post, i will add you to mine. Hope to talk to you soon!!!

Ok you night owls.... where are you?
Here I am at midnight reading through these posts for inspiration.

Welcome Diane... My name is Kim
I live on the Jersey Shore in NJ and I am 36 yrs old.
I've been married coming up on 14 years and we have one daughter who will be 5 next week.

I love these boards - especially 3FC. Great people and great support. Actually that reminds me... has everyone seen Suzanne's message about this site costing her $1,000 a month now???? I am sending a contribution tomorrow. I can't afford to lose this support - the WW board is just TOO MUCH for me. People posting 2 to 4 pages worth DAILY!!!! This site is terrific and very easy to work with.

Catch you all later.
