Morning all,

I see no one started a tread for today, so I hope it's ok that I started one. Hope every one is doing well today. I'm sooooooo sleepie I really have got to try to get to bed earlier. This weekend is going to be **** at work. There is an 80 million euro (thats over 100 million dollars) jackpot in Euromillions this weekend, and Portuguese LOVE to wait until the last hour to register their tickets.

I got a real perty outfit to wear to the wedding next week, and I'm going to get my hair cut today. Hopefully I can have a good time this time instead of worrying about how I look or how uncomfortable I am. I have been married to my hubby for almost a year and we dated for 5 years and we have never danced together. I'm going to make him dance with me at the wedding. Wish me luck on that one!

Welp, gotta go do some work this morning (its 10:30 am here) before I go home to cook lunch. I'm going to try something new with left over roast beef and turkey. I'll let you all know if it comes out good! I'm going to make an adaption of a portuguese dish I really like. Wish me luck!

Good morning and thanks for starting us up. The Daily gets started up by whoever wants to do it so feel free.

It's still awfully hot here and there's no relief in sight! I go away for the weekend and am really stuck for clothes. Luckily it's abunch of gardening friends so we'll be pretty casual.

BAck in a bit. Lucy is practically screaming!

Morning chicks....finally I have some computer time. That is the fun of summer vacation. If my dd's are not fighting over who gets the darn thing, then some one else wants to play a game. So I don't get much time. But DD's are both away again. So I get my time back

Ruth- away a lovely time away. We are susposed to get you heat wave. It is yucky here today.

K@t- Morning, me too I have been up late late these last few nights and then I have to drag my sorry @$$ of of bed in the morning. Have fun at the wedding. Your dh sounds like mine, I used to beg him to dance with me. Know I make him dance one and then I just go off and dance with a group. I often wonder why men don't dance??

I am off to read up on the other posts. Have a great day chicks.

Mornin all you lovely Chicks!
Been incognito for a while I know. Just been stressed with the job. And then last week the car I was driving (was my grandparents) quit. So we have been stressed with that. BUT!!!!!! I got a new one yest. And it has AC. I havent had ac in a car since before my son was born. And he turns 4 in 3 weeks.
Not to mention, I have a date Saturday nite. Or maybe sooner if I can work it out.

Havent changed my ticker. I have figured out that fruit is not my friend. I have just been adding back breads and pasta. AND! I found some ww thin spagetti at local grocery store. (Dont like regular spagetti, I am weird, I know).

Little Chick-We have 5 pc's in our house, and one is the kids. lol He can turn the darn thing on, and open up the programs/games he wants without help. I can only imagine what he going to be like when he is older.

Ruth-Sorry for the heat. Y'all are better than me. Growing up in Savannah, GA ac is almost a prerequiste. Used to live in the bathtub or beach.

K@t-It's ok hon. I have beat Ruth starting the thread a few times. (But don't tell her I did a when I did it though. )

The big fuss from Lucy was the result of a mouse setting off the trap! I'm not sure if she was scared or wanting to protect me!

Would you believe I've got a cake in the oven? Nora requested it for the weekend festivities. It's a simple one but way too rich to even consider a small piece so I'll be strong. The weekend "meet" is at Nora's house in Port Hope, Ontario, and is a group of women I met on my garden website in 1998. We have become good friends and try to get together as a group once a year. Lori is driving up from Maryland and Em and Sandy are coming from Iowa! I'm lucky to have just a three hour drive.

Blip! There are storms around and I keep losing power. Better get off before I have a fried modem. Back later, I hope.

Ruthxxx - Since I'm 5 to 8 hours ahead of you (depending on what time zone your in) I get up wayyyyy before you...so nahhh nahhh when I get here first I'm gonna do a *wink wink nudge nudge to wenchybritches*

Wenchybritches - Good luck with the new car, I just got a new car and I was estatic! I have had my own car since I was 16 but when I moved here me and my husband shared for almost 2 years, so I'm glad to have some independence back!

Bamiegurl - Came out great! We just finished lunch, I think I'm going to post the recipe in the recipes section if any one is interested! It's great to make with left over meat.

Morning ladies ..it is gonna be a really hot one her in lovely Virginia!! ..Wow Winchy good for you.. I hope you have a great time!!
I went to get gas and OMG the prices are killing me...makes me want to walk to work 25 miles in 95 degree weather (that won't happen) ..Anyway, I was relieved when I got on the scale this morning and it did not go up. I cheated yesterday for the first time & felt like poop about it....Along with the sugar hight that was not so pleasant...any hoo..have a wonderful beach day...I will be back in a bit!

Good morning everyone!

I've done pretty well, with a few slip ups, so starting today NO MESS UPS. None. I have to remind myself..."the better you do at sticking to phase 1, the faster you'll be done with it."

My mom and I realized last night we can make some sort of modified version of (Crustless) spinach quiche that would be phase 1 appropriate. Woohoo!

Good luck to you all, and have a wonderful day.

GOOD NEWS!! My baby girl is 5 weeks old today and is finally weighing over 7 pounds! Yesterday she was 7 lbs 2 oz. We may actually have a petite person in our little family.

Ruth Hope that you have a well deserved wonderful time with your friends!!

Wenchy Yah for you! I hope that your date is awesome. My DD is 3 1/2 and loves to play on the computer. It is amazing what kids can do! She hops right on , types her name in, and is good to go.

Bamie
Dishes.... ugh! They rank right up there with laundry in my book. My DH said the other day that he can't wait until he makes enough money to get us a cleaning lady. Bring it ON! I would love someone to come in every other week, esp when I am back at work.

Kat My husband and I are going to a wedding in a few weeks. We love to dance together, just never get the opportunity. Have fun! I am sure you will look and feel smashing in your new outfit!

Kyemom I am with you on the gas prices- it is insane! I have been making a real effort to stick close to home b/c I am sick of spending money on gas!

Me- Had a fun night with my girls last night. My goal yesterday was to stay close to home and not spend any money. We had so much fun- my DD is into cooking right now, so we did a "cooking show" and baked a cake. Then I made her favorite dinner- pasta dippers and green beans. After that I had a Blockbuster gift card, so we went and I let her choose a movie. Once we gothome we walked to the negihborhood playground so she could burn off some energy. Home for bathes, watched a bit of her movie. All for 31 cents which the gift card didn't cover!

Have a super day all!

Good Morning!!

Kiko- good to hear the little one is doing good!

wenchy - enjoy your date

k@t - have fun at the wedding.

1 thing to say about coffee and dancing - blech!!

My scale finally moved down 2.5lbs! I am going to make me something to eat. I really dislike eating breakfast but the simple shake (ricotta, pudding mix, milk, ice) is great. I was thinking about adding peanut butter to it this morning too.

Everyone else have a great losing weight day!!

Boy oh Boy Lots of Cacklin in the Hen House this morning....

K@T: I think you will look smashing with your new frock and hair style..and with your weight loss so far you are going to feel like the bell of the ball. Can't say I'd join you or Little Chick dancin... I look like I am having an apoplectic seizure and resort to doing the "Batman" or twist...

Ruth: Your Garden Tea Party sounds so delightful! And you are tooo kind, I would definitely make one of Barb's cake recipes.

LC: How's those picture albums comin along?
(((WENCHY))) So good 2 C U back.. How wonderful about your new car with AC.. I would never survive without it ..I'm such a baby in the hot humid weather.. A DATE???? OOOOh Can't wait for the details..hope this one has some potential !

CA85: I LOOOOVE Spinach ! MUST.POST. DISH. If .GOOD.
Kyemom: Amazing isn't how you really feel like crap when you put crap in our body ... ? Makes it a bit easier to stay OP too!

Kiko: Making those kinds of memories with your family are priceless... and are cherished more than those where ya spend a lot of money...

FlMom" Yip Yip Yippeee 4 U ..Great going!!!!

Me: estimates are coming in and they are between 5 and 6 thousand clams. . That's more than I would spend on a cruise somewhere!. Sooo we will try to move most of the stuff ourselves.. leaving the big heavy furniture for the no doubt young strappin, hopefully bronzed and buff stud muffin movers to hump...!
