I have a similar routine. I only weigh myself on the two weekends directly after my period. Otherwise, I see all these water retention bloat pounds creeping back on - which puts me in a bad head place and is likely to trigger a binge (stupid, huh?)
So when it's one of those "ok-to-weigh" days, he reads the scale for me. I have never really been to shy about my weight with him (at my skinniest when we first met I still outweighed him by 50+ pounds

), and I can always count on his support.
One note, you may want to weigh yourself every Saturday for about a month to help you figure out how much water you retain (on average) for your period. This can range from 2 - 9 pounds for most women (I avg between 5-8).
This also holds true for post menopausal women, as many times we continue to cycle our water retention even after Aunt Flo has passed on
