i'm fine about 200 miles away. as i posted on another board i was a kid of the 80's and early 90's and this happend nearly everyweek when the irish were at they're peak. just jolly inconvenient. so stiff upperlip remains in true british fashion. mind you my best mate is police officer in london and i've not yet heard anything
Claire (Artist), I know you live in London, please check in soon and set our minds at ease. I've been checking the profiles of our other 100lb. club Brits and as far as I can figure, everyone else is well outside the city.
I'm so thankful for the internet ~ I've been able to get hold of many of my relatives (especially my aunt and cousins who are very close to Tavistock Square) to determine they're safe and sound.
Sending out love and best wishes to everyone at 3FC (and their families) who may be affected by this disgusting act of terrorism.

Reason: typo!
I'm still awaiting news of my friend who lives near Aldgate. There's no answer when I phone. Statistically, the odds are in her favour, but I'm worried nonetheless.
My heart goes out to all those affected by this disgusting attack.
@toofatfish: Learned on the BBC that phones lines, especially the ones used for mobile phones are bieng used in priority by emergency services. It is therefore possible that phone communications may not work properly.
Absolutely fine, nowhere near London. Pretty much everyone I know in London seems to have been accounted for, which is great, but it doesn't change the fact that I'm sure a lot of people have been affected and are hurting tonight.
I do hope that Claire is able to check in soon. Jilly, I'm glad that you found out that your family is safe--I imagine it was a heartstopping time for you.
My thoughts are with all the people of England today as they deal with this tragedy. My daughter, who is 21 and in the military in the U.S., is still young enough to ask me why people do such horrible things. It's difficult not having a good answer for her.
