Default Hump Day on The Beach - July 6

Good morning! The Girls are still asleep, maybe because it's a lovely cool morning and the downstairs windows are all open.

I'm not offering coffee this morning as I need to go for fasting bloodwork. I wish the clinic opened earlier because 8:45 is a long time from my usual very early coffee. I may take one with me to drink after the stabbing.

That's about it for a plan for the day but I will definitely be gardening later.

What will you be up to today?

Good morning, Ruth.
I'll be going back to bed after dropping DD off at summer school. I just can't get enough sleep...
It's lovely and cool this morning. Enjoy your gardening!

Welcome to Gettinfit, and congratulations on the seven pounds!

Good Morning Beachin Buddies!

Ruth: Hope your tests come back okay..I for one would sleep to the last possible minute.. I couldn/t possibly go with out coffee for 2 hours!

Ellis: Hope you don't go back to sleep! When I get depressed that's what I do... maybe pull out your Nancy Drews?

DIT..DIT..DIT ... DO DO DO..This just in from CNN: Our House is SOLD!!!!
3 weeks on the market, no realtor... We did it! And now the real fun begins... Crikeys, I wouldn't wish moving on my worst enemy.. The plan is for me to box what I can... and then hire movers to breakdown the furniture and handle all that heavy lifting ...DH and I just can't do it anymore! This will be my first experience with movers...Oh the horror stories I hear....!

DH is making plans to head to NC the latter part of this week sometime...Look for a house to rent... hopefully arrange for some job interviews as well...

PS..Today starts week 7 on SB... I left a 6 pack of Bud and some Beer Nuts on the bathroom floor last night.. And the Scale Gods awarded me with a 1 pound loss! That makes 20 pounds down!!!

Schatzi, congratulations on the house! AND the 20 pounds!
Good luck with the move... I'm sure it will go well.
I forgot about the Nancy Drews... ... I've got an Ellery Queen on the go right now.

Morning chicks.... the weather is gloomy here and we are going to get rain. I guess there will be no beach today.

Ruth- Morning chick sorry you have to wait for you coffee. Have fun at the stabbing and enjoy your gardening later on.

Ellis- Morning chick, I wish I could crawl back into bed I am so tired and I was in bed and asleep around 9:30. Have a great day chick.

Schatzi-congrats on the sale of the house. That was quick. I hate packing as well. Good luck on finding some good movers. Congrats on the 1 pound. Have a great day

A quickie this morning!

Ruth...Glad to know my peckin did not go unread! lol Enjoy the day!

Schatzi...I loved our movers! Nothing was broken and they had my entire house packed and loaded and ready to move in 1.5 days! No bad stories here! Ours was a corporate move and company paid for but they did a great job.

I have to roll on out of here. I had to leave at 6:45 yesterday to take my car to the shop and then when DH took me to pick it up they had not fixed the problem! So he rode the scooter (it's actually a big motorcycle)( didn't want y'all to think he was on one of those lil ones!)lol to work today but they are calling for rain this afternoon! What a mess. None of the dealerships around here give loaners anymore but they will be more than happy to rent you a car! UGH!

I miss you all! I feel so out of the loop not readin all the posts. I am keeping up with the daily but that's about it. Hopefully I'll catch up soon! Hectic week here since can you believe it DD leaves for Australia FRIDAY! Mom nerves setting in daughter nerves setting in dad nerves....well he's not showing just yet but come Friday it might be a different story! I gotta go my first tears over her trip! After all she is still my lil girl! lol

HAGDA!

Good morning chickies!

I am on Day 10 of Phase 1. Until today's Daily Dish, I thought you could have sausage on the Beach. Geez, no wonder my loss was only 5 lbs for the first week! (Not that I am complaining, mind you...)

I'm also going to have to consider not purchasing fat free Cool whip as well...seems I can't control my portions with it....

On the good side, I was able to complete my Miracle Mile walking DVD. I think if I can do a mile a day for a couple of weeks, I can build up to two!

Have a great day!

Morning ladies-

The scale is WAY up this am - combo of TOM (I had unusual breakthrough bleeding last night even though I am on the pill) and bad eating (I had SF cookies and pretended not to see the white flour.

Oh well. Phase 1 for a few days and back on the train!

Schati -- CONGRATS on both fronts!

Ruth -- when you get back, we'll have an IV of coffee waiting for you!

Ellis and Little Chick -- nap for me too? I'll be running around at meetings all day!

Bamie -- we miss you too!!!

Morning all! Up for another day of tearing around after a pair of very active children, ages 6 and 2.

My mom and I made a deal last night...she's starting phase 1 today and I'm...well...starting another two week period (I'll end up having done 3 weeks). We're required to follow it to the letter, and exercise at least 5 times per week. If my mom succeeds, I have to paint my brothers room for her. If I succeed, she has to take me SHOPPING.... Hooray!

Good luck today!

Oh yeah...I forgot to mention if (...when!) we both succeed, we're going out to Braum's (an ice cream place for those who dont' have it in their area) to get our ultimate weakness, a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup Mix-in. Then, of course, back to the diet.

OK, Jen415...we must be on the same wave length...I have been eating summer sausage as a snack, and last night I was looking something up in the book, and saw summer sausage as AVOID....I thought I would cry. I thought I was doing so good....well, I am gonna stay on phase 1 for an extra week now. I need help with snacks that I can take to work other than just veggies & cheese.

Morning, everyone! It's a beautiful, sunny day today. It's supposed to be 99 today and is an ozone red day. I've got to get back to work. Talk to you later.
