I am an infomercial junkie I have a huge list of programs I want to order I like to have a bunch of programs to choose from so I can alternate through the days and not get bored etc... I like Crunch fat burning Pilates, Crunch Pick your spot pilates, I want to get the Kathy Smith project you, Core secrets,Urban rebounder and easy shaper just to name a few....anyone tried those or know anyone who has? are they worth the money? I have Slim in 6 but its a real butt kicker and I do great on it for a week but then I just cant do it anymore.

what are some machines, videos orprograms you have have great success with and enjoy doing?

I really love Leslie Sansome's Walk away the pounds. the one and 2 mile are pretty easy for me now but I still love the 4 mile expresss. It's an hour vido but you can stop at any mile (she lets you know where you are) and then stretch. There are no special dance moves which is great for the klutz like me. Plus, unlike some of her other tapes, there are no dumbells or stretchie needed.

I haven't tried any of the others so I can't wait to hear what others think.

I have 1 DVD that I exercise to (well ok i need to start doing it again!)

Anyway, its Denise Austin - Shrink your female fat zones. I really like it, it uses the big stability ball and weights. It has 2 20 min workouts, so you can do both, or just one.

I love work out tapes but I'm traped inthe 90's!

I still do step reebok and love it and the old grind work out tapes with Eric Nees. I also do some of the Richard Simmons tapes. I have tried all kinds of new tapes but they just don't seem to get me sweating like the old ones. I have soem tae bo but I do kickboxing at the gym and it is much harder than his tapes so I ussually skip that. I've tried just about everything. The only "new" thing I like is Pilates. I didn't have the $$ to buy the windsor set so I bought MTV pilates and it is pretty good. I also do the pilates that is on OnDemand on cable. I think they are the brand called Method(I have a few of their bootcamp and cardio tapes, not so good).

I really like the Core Secrets and Winsor Pilates workouts...plus anything with Denise Austin I will try once although I wasn't a huge fan of Shrink Your Female Fat Zones (depends on your exercise level I suppose). I am a member of Blockbuster Online and you can rent exercise DVDs through that to see what you like. Cardio Pilates is really good as well...

I have Power90 which is by the same people who made Slim in 6. I think its a pretty good butt kicker too. I stuck with it for about 6-8 weeks steady and I really started getting the hang of it and noticing a difference.

I also have Abs, and Buns of Steel which I haven't used in so long I can't remember whether I like them. And a Kathy Smith vid that targets different body parts for 10 min at a time. Love the Abs part.

I considered getting Project:You but held off because I haven't completed Power90 yet even though I've had it for about 2 years (Figured I should do this first). I know I have seen a pretty extensive thread around here on it. Check under the excercise forum. You may have to go back a page or two because that area is pretty active and I haven't seen an update in a week or so.

Great to hear you like Slim in 6. I though about giving that a try because the shorter time period would be easier to commit:-) I really though about trying a Taebo vid because I like kickboxing. Also looking for a yoga or pilates vid. Maybe I'll try the free one OnDemand to see if I even like it.

I don't really do cardio with a video, but I do the winsor pilates. I love it, and it's done some nice things for my booty. I also have a video called Yoga for Weightloss, i like it because it's still a challenge without being too hard and it's improved my flexibility and makes me feel invigorated and refreshed by the time i get to the end. Doing both of them has made me much more aware of my posture and i feel like i walk taller and with more confidence than i did before.

My mom has this VHS tape she bought in the 90's too, and she still loves it, and I really like it too.

Its Elle McPherson and Karen Voight Your Personal Best. Anyway, I really liked that one, but I don't have it. It alternates between cardio and toning, and gets a little more difficult with each one.

Lizz,

Just curious as to why you didn't like the shrink your female fat zones? And also, what are some of her better ones? I liked her in the one I have, and would love to get another one

~Liz (I used to spell my name 'Lizz' all the time, and would use 2 z's in Elizabeth too lol all my email and IM are either Lizz or elizzabeth)

Liz,
I found Shrink your Female Fat Zones to be too basic...I do both segments together to get anything out of it but if it is working for you, then keep it up! I have the book as well and that is decent. I really like Denise's Personal Training System because you can mix and match different segments and choose the difficulty level (p.s. for anyone who finds her voice to be annoying they have a music only option as well!) If you are looking into Yoga her 21 days to a yoga body is good and Pilates for Everybody is decent as well. Have you caught any of her programs on Lifetime? She has early morning daily workouts that I used to do when we had cable. Hope this helps and remember the best DVD workout is the one you will do!

~Liz

P.S. My second "z" started when my dad made my first email account and the one with one "z" was taken so we added an extra one and it kinda stuck!
