I ended up ordering one of these from Amazon - the "Tanita BC533 Glass Innerscan Body Composition Monitor"

Should be delivered by next Thursday...
It has two 5-star reviews at the moment. I will post my own review here
I have read on Epinions about the Tanita scales, in general, sometimes working perfectly for some people and not for others... We shall see! Depends on your body type I guess, or if the buyer gets a fluky scale. Well, I've read that the weight readout is usually right on, but the body fat results can be all over the place sometimes (not with this model though... no data on it yet there.)
If it's totally off base, then I'll just take advantage of that cool 30-day refund policy of Amazon's
I just had to get a new scale. My old Health-O-Meter was telling me within the span of a few minutes that I gained or lost 1-3 pounds. Depended on its mood I guess! And if I stood just a bit back on it, with my toes 1" further from the top, I could "lose" 8 pounds. Hmmm. I WISH!
It'll be neat though to be able to see if I gained muscle or fat or just water. I want to focus on gaining muscle, and be able to see that increase regularly... Me and my rowing machine are going to become veeery close buddies.
