Default First Weigh In

Hi Guys,

Its my first week on the forum and my first week of starting on my diet, so here I go.............

Was 21st
Now 20st 11lb

Lost 3lb

It may sound strange but I feel almost down about it, it shows I have a very long journey ahead.

Don't get too hung up on the height of the mountain you've got to climb, John - you've alredy embarked on the journey that will take you to a healthier place, and every single day that you stay committed to that process, the healthier you'll be. You don't just get fit when you hit your goal - you're already started! And before you know it, you'll be 10lbs down, then 20, then 30...and when that ball starts rolling you'll find it such a buzz that you won't WANT to stop! Trust me on this one!

Anyway, welcome!

Janey

228 this morning. But I'm not counting it and updating the tracker til later in the week when I should have lost any excess water counting towards it.

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it

I dont weigh in until Friday - I'm really regretting having thirds at the chinese over the weekend but it was my anniversary so it really doesnt count (does it?)

Good luck for June everyone

Woooooooo! I lost 5lb!!!!

I knew I'd lost a bit but I'm absolutely elated

John - I've only been on the site 5 weeks and I felt exactly the same as you. i didnt think there was much point in me trying as I had so far to go. But its really not about the weight, I feel like I have more energy and my mood is better. Dont look at it as a long journey but a new adventure. As Dippy said, it is quite addictive once you get in the swing of things. The support and inspiration you'll get from people here will spur you on too... good day or bad day you'll always feel wanted.

Well done to everyone who lost and comiserations to those who didnt (it'll probably just be excess water retention - thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it )

Much love you sparkly lovely people

Well done cat! I thought I would have a look at the other places other than grad (should be doing dishes). The sun has gone behind the clouds down here and it looks grim outside.
Must go.
