Default ??? Carb blockers ???

Yea, guys. Question about these carb blockers. Yesterday got the red plan. She told me I couldn't do Carb Cravers because I was on blood pressure meds. These are allot of the foods I fix for dinner. So, kept thinking why not. Carbs has nothing to do with BP. Called and talked to another counseler she tells me I can do them, BUT, I have to also take the carb blocker, another $19.00. What??? I am not taking them. They give me bathroom problems. I have so much food to eat still today. I have 1/2 p, 3 veg, 2 fr, 2 starch, 1 dairy, 1 fat, 1 lite bar. Big dinner for me tonight. What's the opion around here about these carb blockers.
A good first day, not really hungry. Get enough food. That's for sure. I adjusted my ticker. I am going to use Friday as my weekly weigh in day, since I started red plan today.
Y'al have a good evening.

Having to take the carb blocker supplement when you eat a carb craver meal is sales baloney. If you have high BP I'm guessing you already watch your sodium intake, some of the CC meals can be higher in sodium (deli meat, commercial spaghetti sauce come to mind). I think you'll be fine.

Regarding your comment that the "carb craver" meals are a lot of what you choose for dinner, you may want to rethink that strategy - simply because your losses will be better if you limit your use of the high-starch meal choices. Once or twice a week, tops, is what I would suggest (any more than that and I find myself dealing with bigger carb cravings and then I fall off the wagon...LOL! ) It's not always fun, but I try to look it as a long-term change in my eating habits...

Hope that helps, some.

Chipper, I do agree that you are gettting a 'canned response' about the carb cravers/carb enders. They do suggest that you drink more water when you do a CC meal in your guide. I think you have the best reason in the world (physical discomfort) not to take the Carb Enders. You do not have to take them to lose weight. I don't do CC meals often, but I do use LeanCuisine pasta dinners several times a week, and don't have a problem.

The truth of the matter is that we don't need any of those supplements to lose weight. The jury is still out if we need them to make weight loss EASIER.

Hugs,
Julie
