Default Phase 2 - for April 18th Starters

Hi all! Today is the start of Phase 2 for all of us who started on April 18th. I ended up with a net loss of 8.2 pounds.
I am excited and also apprehensive to start adding back in foods. I chose high fiber oatmeal as my first addition. I will do that for a week and if all goes well, I will probably then add a fruit. I think slow and easy and constant monitoring to see how my body does with the additions is the trick to all this.

How did everyone else do on Phase 1 and what is your game plan for Phase 2?

Jacque

Phase 2 scares the daylights out of me! I went ahead and started on Sunday. I had a bowl of oatmeal and a SB pizza with whole wheat crust. Didn't gain this morning!!!
Today, I had a bowl of shredded wheat cereal. Having my usual salad for lunch and not sure about dinner yet. I'm waiting about a week to add fruit, but I'm looking forward to strawberries!!!!!
I lost 11 pounds on phase 1 and I'm so happy with that. Just don't want to backslide now!

Jenn, I am with you! I am scared too, that is why I think we need to take it slow and easy and see how our bodies react. I think your "plan of attack" sounds great and I am doing basically the same thing. Had oatmeal for breakfast, almonds and string cheese for snack, salad w/chicken for lunch, 2 T peanut butter and sf jello for snack, baked fish, salad and broccoli for dinner.
I see you are in SE Missouri, where at exactly? I am in Oklahoma - Oologah (just north of Tulsa). We are practically neighbors!

I'm in Cape Girardeau (don't know if you've ever heard of it!!!!)
Oh, and also I think I've decided that one week a month I will go back on phase 1, just to give it a jump start again. I'm also starting Curves for Women today. I'm excited about that. I haven't exercized in forever.
We can do this!!!!!! Where are the rest of our gals?!?

I know exactly where you live - home of Rush Limbaugh! Also I used to live in Carmi, IL and Evansville, IN both in your tri-state area.

I wonder where everyone else is also, are we the only two who survived phase 1?

I am starting a walking plan today of 20 minutes each day. I have a perfect track in my neighborhood that is exactly 1 mile and it takes me about 20 min. to walk it so that should work out perfect.

Good luck on Curves. I hear wonderful things about it. I think the one week a month back on Phase 1 might be a good idea. I might join you on that one.

Okay, I guess I'm going to have a phase 1 day. Went to Curves last night and worked my butt off - but I'm up 2 pounds today!
I'm going to ease back to one "carb" a day and see if that helps.
Ugh, two steps forward three steps back!

Default Phase 2

I am having the same concerns. I added back 1/2 c oatmeal yesterday and the rest of the day was phase 1 plan. This morning I had a .4 gain. I will go ahead continue the rest of the week with this plan but I am wondering if I can't handle grains in any way, shape or form. I will give my system the rest of the week to adjust but I may have to go back to the drawing board.

I wanted to start walking yesterday but time did not allow. Had a really stressful day at work that lasted longer than it should. Mil is facing chemo and some big problems developed over that and I had to deal with them until late last night. Today I am starting my walking plan - no matter what!

Jenn, we can do this - let's just support each other and we can get this going for us!
