I know, I know...yet ANOTHER thread, right? Seriously if no one minds, I'd like to start a thread to keep me counting my calories. I know it seems a bit obsessive but I REALLY NEED TO BE ACCOUNTABLE for my calories. Now, I know many of you don't count them and that's totally fine, but I need to or else I'll pig out. I need to get into a rhythm....
So, no one has to join me, but at the end of every day I am going to post how many calories I ate...not what I ate, that's too time consuming and I'll never stick with it ...just the calories....if any of you are counting things like ww points or fat grams, that's cool, join me in my obsession.

Hey, Melissa. I've been using FitDay as well, though I haven't for, well, gosh, nearly 2 months now. And, although today I got back on the exercise wagon, I didn't get back on track with eating. However, you've inspired me to go and count my damned calories anyway. I'll come back and post them as soon as I've got them counted up.
Count me in here too!! I will dig out my Fitday cd and start a tracking them lol. I am a portion person more then a calories so it will be interesting to see how I am doing lol.
I am at 391 calories for the day so far. Not counting my coffee lol
Breakfast consisted of 100grams of mushrooms, 50 grams of red pepper, 60 grams of white onion, 100 grams of broccoli, 20 grams of parmesan cheese and 2 eggs.
I also walked the 2 Mile WATP tape which burns about 251 calories so I guess that puts me at.... 140 calories not counting just day to day normal calorie burning lol
:: AFTERNOON UPDATE ::
Am now at 763 calories for the day so far. Not counting my balsamic vinegar. Lunch (372 calories) consisted of 112 grams of romaine lettuce, 184 grams of cucumber, 30 grams of mushrooms, 20 grams of green onion, 52 grams of bell pepper, 42 grams of blue cheese crumbles and 156 grams of chicken.
In about an hour I will be walking another 2 miles so that would put me at
140 calories from breakfast and 121 calories from lunch ( after working out) for a total of 261 calories ( this doesnt take out the day to day calories burned).

ok cals for the day (yesterday - 2nd May) are 1534 ... and exercise cals were 462. So I was a bit on the low side yesterday (for the first time in about 4 weeks, I would say!)
Felicia - are you losing weight by eating just 1200 calories a day? Be careful cause sometimes you can eat too little..especially at our weight, we require more energy than the average folk...not to sound self-righteous, just a little suggestion. For all I know you ate more yesterday and didn't update...la di da.
ooh.. joy!!!.. this is a great idea.. I want to play... I've been keeping a food journal and excersizing since 4/25/05 and I've lost 8 lbs.. I allow myself one cheat day a week to eat whatever I want.. I do my totals right before I go to sleep, so I'll post them at night..
I'm trying to stay under 30 grams of fat and under 1600 calories..
my totals for Monday 5-2-05
fat = 24.5
calories = 1280
Monday I had a total of 1900. That is a couple hundred more than I usually eat, but I had a lot of extra exercise and if I feel hungry on a mega exercise day, I eat a little more, or I don't lose weight. I am trying very hard to learn to listen to my body, especially learning the difference between real hunger and mental or emotional hunger.
