Default new chick in the coop...

Hello 20-something Chicks!!!
My name is Nicki, I am a 26 year old mother of one precious little girl...(today is her 3rd Birthday btw) and I am looking to lose that baby weight I piled on, well, actually post baby weight because I lost the baby weight right away and then I put on quite a bit more in the last three years...I am trying the South Beach Diet, which actually seems pretty cool...we live on a farm with my DH and his grandfather...I work in a bakery, love to bake and cook, and I love to scrapbook (that is actually my main passion in life!!) I want to loose my weight so I can have another baby (weird right, get skinny so I can get pregnant asap...) so, hopefully, I can at least get under 200 lbs by the end of the summer...

Nicki - welcome! Happy birthday to your little girl. Working in a bakery must be insanely difficult diet-wise! I don't think I could do it! You are not alone with wanting to lose weight before a pregnancy - several of the 20-somethings-ers are in the same boat, me included, though I want to maintain my goal weight for at least 2 years before that happens!

Hi Nicki, welcome! Wow, working in a bakery must be tough, I'd eat everything in sight! Actually, I've always thought it would be cook to be a baker, but don't you have to get up really early in the morning?

Hi Nicky,
I could never work at a bakery. I would go nuts and big out everyday. Anyway, I am trying to lose my post baby weight too. I lost a lot right after I had my son but then I slowly backed it back on. My plan it to be under 200 asap. no actually, by the end of summer would be good.
We can do it.
Jennie

Welcome! I hope you will find the support and encouragement you need here... it's so smart of you to recognize the need to be at a healthy weight before conceiving in order to ensure a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.

I'm new here too but I already love this site!!!

thanks for the welcome girls...yeah, working in a bakery can be trying at times but I have been very good lately, and the work is pretty strenuous at times, so I must be burning some extra calories on busy days lol...jennie934, it looks like are at similar places and have similar goals...lets keep in touch for that extra encouragement that newbies need...
