Hi all. My name is Andrea. 23 years old, about to graduate from nursing school. Like many of my classmates, I've gained weight to my already overweight body during nursing school, pushing me up to my highest weight ever, 250lbs. I recently became engaged to the most wonderful man in my life (except for Daddy and God), and have a year to fit into a wedding dress. The date is June 3, 2006. My goal is 100 pounds, although I am not sure how realistic that will be in one year. I've joined a gym with my fiance, and we try to go together, although lately it's been hard for him to go. I've done a better job of sticking to it.
I am not really sure where to go from here (in regards to these forums). I am not TTC yet, and am not on a certain diet (WW, carbs...). Any help?
Also, anyone in Eastern NC?
Thanks. I look forward to getting to know you! -Andrea

Hi Andrea,

I just wanted to say hi...I'm also new to the 3FC. I think fitting into a wedding dress is totally motivating, and you should have no problem attaining your goal!! Congratulations on graduating nursing school, and your upcoming wedding. It sounds like you are starting the next phase of your life, and wanting to be a healthy new woman. It won't be an easy road, but I'd love to keep in touch, and help you in anyway I can as far as motivation and support are concerned. My decision to finally lose the weight was to be healthy for my children. I want to set a good example, and have a healthy lifestyle, so that hopefully they won't end-up having the same weight issues I have.

Keep yourself focused on your goal :-)

HI Andrea,

You can come on over to the 20-somethings board if you want. We are all on different plans. Also, since your goal is to lose 100 pounds there is a 100 pound board. Good luck! Stick to that gym!
