My tips would be:
- track everything you eat (even if you cheat - write it down!)
- drink plenty of water
- exercise!!
- don't deprive yourself
- if you have a bad day (or week ) put it behind you and move on
- stay for the meetings (very important for inspiration and ideas!)
WW is great, I do the online flex points and it works. Like everyone said, write down everything you eat and drinking water is the key. I don't have time for the meetings so my friends and I do the online program. Good Luck!
It is a great system, however I found the meeting to be a supreme waste of money. No one really had more than 10-15 pounds to lose...so I couldn't relate. Also, the 'shame' of weighing in wears off quickly. I would suggest getting some of their materials...you could even purchase them on ebay and do the plan yourself.

I really love Weight Watchers! I do the Flex online program. Once you get into the groove of the things its kinda cool finding stuff to eat. Things that you would think would be loads of points arent. I really like the ease of it. Being able to find anything to eat really helps me. I think its totally worth the money. Im not sure if i would go to meetings though.
TOTALLY think it is worth it!! I have tried to do WW by myself and have had ZERO success. You have to find a meeting that suits you (which is one reason they let you attend a meeting without paying) The meeting I go to usually has about 20 people in it, and they are all shapes and sizes and come from all walks of life. They clap and cheer when you have a loss, and put their arms around you when you have had a not-so-good week. I also think that you are going to get out of it whatever you put into it, if you sit in the back and don't participate, then you probably won't get much out of it.
WW does have a very good reputation, and many people swear by it. However, I would like to chime in that it is not neccessary to pay to join any diet plan to lose weight. There is plenty of information free on the web, and these 3FC forums are great place to start. I'm not trying to slam WW, but I do think that the notion that one must pay money to start losing weight is utterly wrong.
Eat less calories than you burn off in the course of the day, and you will lose weight. It really is that simple.
