Hello. My name is Joanne. Three years ago I utilized this site to help with my weight loss efforts. Unfortunately, despite the tremendous advise and encouragement for the various threads that I "chatted" with, I was unsuccessful in losing any significant amount weight. In February of 2004 I discovered the low-carb craze. I've since lost thirty pounds, found TONS of energy, and said good-bye to my persistant insomnia.
Is any one else on this thread giving low-carb a try? How are you doing? Would you like to exchange recipes?
My biggest obstacle is exercise. Since changing jobs this past fall, I've lost my time/inclincation to walk or ride my exercise bike. My family and friends are trying to help me get back on track. Even our vet is trying to help by making me feel guilty for not taking my dog for enough walks and putting his health at risk.
I really can't "chat" too much right now but I'll come back later to see how you are all doing.
