Default No sugar for 3 days- Anyone want to join me?

Hi,
Well from asking for some advice to get some control over my non stop sugar cravings, one of my buddies from the web-site suggested to cut out all sugar for 3 days and that should stop the cravings. I am willing to try anything at this point and decided to make a challenge for myself starting Monday April 4(staring Monday, I always have to start things on Mondays...???). Just wanted to know if anyone wanted to join me for the three days and share some words of encouragement.

Let me know and wish me alot of luck...

What are you cutting out sugar wise? Are you talking about any food that has any sugar at all or only certain foods?

I have done the no-sugar thing.. and let me tell you- it works awesome! I actually took 4 days to really get it under control. I did- fruits, veggies, low amounts of whole grains, and lean meats. watch the condments as well. And remember that carbs turn into sugar in your body after digested... so keep them down. Veggies and fat free dip are the best though... veggies are so good for you! Hope you can master it. Dont give up.. its hard though for those days... really hard.. but jsut think how your body will feel once you have overcome it! lots of water to! and (since i cant drink all 64 oz... ugggh) I add crystal light to some of my waters.. only 5 calories and sugar free. Good luck!!!

Well since my problem is mainly sweets, as in any kind of chocolate or desserts, mainly that kind of sugar, and just really limit my fruit intake. I know for myself its a mental and physical goal so I thought I'd take some advice and edit it to my needs and see if anyone has a similar problem and want to join me.

I am so glad your joining me. I have had that exact same week, I think its because we are still trying to get rid of all the Easter candy. I am so glad I have some support and to be some support for others. We will definitly get each other through this. I KNOW WE CAN DO IT!!!

Oh Easter has been horrible!! I mean its like it started a domino effect!! Haha.. Just one more.. Oh one more wont hurt.. Well, the scale sees things differently.. Haha.. I'll be right here posting during the day

hey peps!
I was just reading through this.. way to go you all for the commitment! Fruit contains fructose sugar... which is broken down in the body into glucose.. same with carbs and regular sugar.. so it all ends up the same way. Certain fruits are higher in sugar than others- (red sweet apples, vs. green tart ones) But if its either chocolate or fruit-- hit the fruit! at least you get fiber along with it! Some veggies also contain sugar- corn, for example. But its still much better than jellybeans or cadbury eggs. Keep up the great work! I hope you make it through! (remember sugar free gum as well!)

Sugar-fix free for 2 weeks!
